Yesterday we had our fourth and final session of our T-ball clinics, and we could not be prouder of this amazing group of young athletes. From the very first day they stepped into The Clubhouse, these kids brought non-stop energy and showed incredible growth.

Through all their hard work over the last few weeks, we watched beginners transform into confident ballplayers. The progress from day one to now was night and day. 🚀💪

✨ A massive thank you to The Portland Foundation! Because of their generous grant and unwavering support, we were able to provide this entire multi-week clinic completely FREE to our community's families, ensuring every child had the opportunity to learn, play, and grow. We are deeply grateful for your partnership in investing in the youth of Jay County. 🙏🏢

Day 2 of our Redkey Clinics is in the books, and these athletes are officially locked in! ⚾️🥎💥

Friday evening, the Jay County Clubhouse crew headed back out to Redkey Park for our second of four clinic sessions. It was awesome to see so many returning faces, plus some new ones, ready to work on getting better.

They put in some serious work on the field:
🔥 Sharpening lightning-fast glovework and soft hands on the 3x3 rebounders
🔥 Worked on the fundamentals of the swing off the tee and front toss
🔥 Tracking fly balls and mastering the drop-step in the outfield station

Every single player showed great hustle and a desire to improve from last week!
Shoutout to our incredible volunteer coaches and parents for keeping the energy high, and to the kids for bringing their best effort to the diamond.

Sessions 2 and 3 of our T-Ball Clinics are officially in the books, and these future All-Stars are making incredible strides! ⚾️❤️

Our youngest athletes have been bringing non-stop energy and big smiles to the Clubhouse turf. Over the last two sessions, we’ve really locked in on mastering the fundamental basics of the game.

The kids did a fantastic job working hard on:
🏃‍♂️ Base Running: Learning how to hustle around the bags and touch every base! 💪 Throwing Mechanics: Getting our arms loose and working on stepping toward our targets. 🥎 Fielding: Working on a great fielding stance and our alligator to secure the ball in the glove. 🔥 Hitting: Grooving those big swings and driving the ball off the tees!

It’s great to see their confidence grow with every single rep. A huge shoutout to all the volunteers who help keep these sessions so fun and moving smoothly!

✨ Thank you again to The Portland Foundation! This clinic is completely free for our community's families, and the awesome new equipment our kids are using on the turf was made entirely possible through their generous grant support. 🙏🙌

We had an absolute blast at our very first T-Ball Clinic session last week! ⚾️❤️

Seeing the youngest athletes in Jay County bring so much energy, massive smiles, and hustle to the Clubhouse was the absolute best.
They did a fantastic job learning the basics of the game.

We are looking forward to getting right back to work with these future All-Stars tonight!

Congrats to our Summit City Sluggers - Jay team on another great weekend as they finished as champions at the USSSA Circle City Memorial Day Bash this past weekend! They never gave up as they competed in several close games and came out on top. These guys are leaning into what it means to be a great teammate and the results are showing on the field.

🚨 Holiday Hours Notice 🚨
The Jay County Clubhouse will be closed on Monday, May 25th in observance of Memorial Day.
As we take this day to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, we hope all of our Clubhouse families have a safe and meaningful holiday weekend.
We will reopen for our regular hours on Tuesday, May 26th. Enjoy the extra time with your families, and we’ll see you back on the turf on Tuesday! ⚾️🥎

🥎Day 1 of our Redkey Clinics is officially in the books! ⚾️💪

Yesterday evening, the Jay County Clubhouse hosted our very first session out at Redkey Park, and the energy from these young athletes was incredible! We hit the ground running with a group warm-up and throwing routine before breaking off into high-rep defensive stations.

Our baseball and softball players put in some fantastic work! Whether they were throwing a baseball or a softball, the hustle and focus from every single player was top-notch. 🏆

We are so proud to invest in the future of Jay County youth sports!

Congrats to our Summit City Sluggers - Jay 14U team on their 2nd place finish this past weekend. They fought to the end losing in extra innings in the championship game. Keep grinding guys!

We have the final details for our FREE T-Ball Clinics in partnership with the Jay Community Center.

📍 Location:
All sessions will be held at the Jay County Clubhouse. 822 S 500 W Portland, IN

⏰ Clinic Times:
To ensure everyone gets the right level of coaching, we’ve split the sessions by age:
• Ages 3 & 4: 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM
• Ages 5 & 6: 6:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Reminder of the Dates:
• Tuesday, May 19th
• Tuesday, May 26th
• Wednesday, May 27th
• Tuesday, June 2nd

If you do not have equipment, the clubhouse will provide loaners for the clinic! Be ready to have some fun. We’ll see you at the Clubhouse!
