Western Regionals 2026 ❤️🤍💙 Salem, OR - 7.25.2026

What a weekend of footy for our Sockeyes and Steelheads! 🐟🏉

There were great marks, huge spoils, speckys, goals, tackles, and plenty more as both squads left it all out on the field. We’re proud of every Sockeye and Steelhead who pulled on the jumper and represented Portland AFC at Western Regionals.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out to support, cheer, volunteer, and be part of the weekend. Nothing beats having our fish family together on and off the field. ❤️

This past Saturday was about more than playing footy. It was about the community that surrounds it.

Before the first bounce at the 2026 USAFL Western Regionals, our captain Max “Juice” Ducey Max Ducey was able to join his fellow Steelheads on the field for the pre-game lineup and huddle. He was recognized with a well-deserved round of applause by the umps, his opponents, and his teammates, who all wore an armband in Steelhead blue in his honor.

Juice was also presented with the 2026 USAFL Western Regionals Sportsperson Award in recognition of the dedication, heart, and spirit he brings to our sport and community.

In the last few months, Juice has suffered several strokes and an aneurysm. Its has been a terrifying time for him, his family, and this club. However, Juice has exceeded all the medical odds and is fighting through it all, as he does everything.

We’d like to thank USAFL USAFL for the award and AACC PNW President Martin Gorman AACC Pacific Northwest for the presentation of the award, as well as Brian Barrish for his kind words. A special shoutout to our president Joss Joss for capturing who Juice is and what he means to this club and league. As he said so perfectly, Juice is the “spirit of footy”. We are so proud to call Juice our captain. ❤️💙

Come watch Aussie Rules in Oregon! The United States Australian Football League is coming to Salem tomorrow for our Western Regional tournament. Watch as the Steelheads and Sockeyes take on the best from the West. Games start at 9am and run through 5pm and entry is free!

PAFC will have a supporter tent out there for shade, some free drinks, merch for sale, and more so come on out to the footy!

🌲 BEST OF THE WEST! Oregon as we head to Salem for a day of great local sport! Seven clubs converge for regional glory this Saturday; we’ll have two fields of men’s and women’s action, food trucks, and much more! Join us at the Pioneer Sports Park or LIVE on our YouTube starting at 9am PDT!

Pride Month may be coming to an end, but Pride doesn’t stop on July 1st 🏳️‍🌈

Here in Portland, Pride is just getting started, and at Portland AFC, Pride is every day.

We’re proud to have players and supporters from across the alphabet mafia. Every person has a place in this club, and that’s something we’ll always stand behind.

We respect and celebrate every member of our community and strive to make Portland AFC a place where everyone feels welcome, included, and empowered to be themselves on and off the field. Footy is for everyone, and we’re proud to be building a club where people can show up as their authentic selves.
