Last week I had the pleasure of fishing with Matthew, his father and grandfather, and we were determined to put Matthew on his first pike! He was certain on setting the hook, and fighting the fish by himself! After a slower than average morning, the flags started popping in the afternoon. It took a couple attempts but Matthew got what he was after! A beautiful 26" Northern pike! His smile speaks for itself, and he told me "it was the best day ever!". I commend Matthew for his endurance, as some grown men I fish with aren't that patient!

We probably have 2-3 more weeks of icefishing and I am still booking trips! Once it thaws, we will begin spring trout fishing, followed by striped bass fishing aboard .sportfishing ! Send me a message if you or anyone you know are interested in a guided fishing trip of any kind!

Striper fishing has been good in the lower Connecticut River! The fall run has been one to remember! SP Minnows, Hydro Minnows, and Storm Shads have all been producing quality fish! We're loaded up with striper lures of all kinds for the fall run! Stop in and grab a few before your next trip!

We will be open today, Friday, until 9 AM, then again 2 PM - 6 PM. Then tomorrow, Saturday we'll be here at 5:30 AM until 6 PM, and Sunday 5:30 AM to 4 PM. It looks like there's going to be some fishable ice in the northwest corner of the state by Sunday, and we've got everything you need to hit the hardwater, especially safety gear like spud bars, safety cleats, ice picks, and more!

Loads of open water gear still as well, including all your favorite trout lures!
