Welcome to Canyon Wren Coaching! 🙋‍♀️ If you’re new here, I’m glad you’ve found me and if you’ve been here for awhile thanks for sticking around!
I am an ultra- and mountain runner living and playing in Western Maine with my two (usually muddy) labs. When I’m not helping runners like you make and break lofty goals, you can find me welcoming babies as a Certified Professional Midwife.
I believe that runners deserve, and long for, the same care that my pregnant clients do. Both as a midwife, and as a run coach, I will be your biggest advocate while also pushing you to find your power and accomplish things you never thought were possible!
If you’re interested in working with me I currently have a few openings. I always keep my roster small so that my athletes get the personalized coaching experience they came for.
Learn more about me and what I offer by following me on Instagram and or on my website www.canyonwrencoaching.com

Yesterday the stars aligned and I got the chance to spend 12 hours above tree line in the White Mountains. It was the perfect day for a Presidential Traverse (19 miles and 7.5k of vert) and as always, I am so grateful for my ability to access such amazing places!

Meet the Coach

Meet Acadia Gantz, the coach and owner of Canyon Wren Coaching. Acadia grew up in Northern Utah as an avid skier, hiker and whitewater rafter. She swam competitively for 5 years and during this time learned the immense value of having a great coach.

After becoming a Wilderness EMT (WEMT), Acadia worked for 3 years as a river guide and ski patroller until discovering midwifery. With a background in healthcare and a passion for helping people to discover and empower their best selves, Acadia moved to Maine to attend Birthwise Midwifery School.

Acadia began running in 2015 to explore her new town and stay active during the rigors of midwifery school. In the fall of 2017, she ran her first marathon and quickly followed it by a 50k and 50 mile race in the spring of 2018. During a long training run in the mountains she began dreaming about how she could incorporate running into her career and the idea of Canyon Wren Coaching was born.

Acadia firmly believes that pregnancy is not a disease and that people with low-risk pregnancies can, and should, continue to exercise throughout their pregnancy. The proof is in the research with lower incidence of hypertension, pre-eclampsia, gestational diabetes and postpartum depression found in pregnant athletes.
