The weather was great for league day and the scoring conditions were perfect after the morning rain. Nine of the 10 rounds were even par or better. To no surprise it was Kyle Courcy at the top of the leaderboard with two 34s for a 14-under 68 for $25. Nathan Fournier tried to keep pace with a 38-34 for a 10-under 72 to take home $15. Marcel Deschaines goal today was to break 80 and pair of 39s gave him a 4-under 78 for $10. The Brochu brothers finished fourth and fifth. Dan (41-39) shot a 2-under 80 and Dave (47-39) fired a 4-over 86.

We will be back next Sunday at 10 am at Tabers.

We had 11 competitors come out this morning which is our season high. We had three newcomers this week which allowed us to have a novice division for the first time this season.

Sawyer took the 12 and under kids division with a 55-56 for a 111 and to win $8.

In the Novice Division, Jason Rathbun took first place to win $20 with a 51-43 for a 12-over 94, beating out Pete who shot 53-42 for a 13-over 95 and took home $10. Jason's daughter Bea came in third with a 64-60 for a 124.

We began the day in the top flight division with Kyle Courcy and Dan Brochu sudden playoff to determine first from last week's competition. Kyle made a 2 on the first hole and Dan missed his second putt. Kyle won $35 and Dan second place prize with $20.

Kyle then took home first for this week with a 36-40 for a 6-under 76 to win another $35. Dave Brochu was steady firing off two 39s for a 4-under 78 and $25.

Dan (41-40) and Nathan Fournier (43-38) each fired off a 1-under 81. In the third place playoff, both got twos on the opening two holes. On the third hole Nate's shot off the rock wall rolled past the left lip of the cup and he made a 2. Dan shot of the rock wall slowly trickled down towards the cup and dropped in drunk on the last roll for the ace. Dan wins $10 for third and Nate goes home empty handed.

Kyle Labrecque two 42s for a 2-over 84 finished fifth. Jim Berube (41-44) finished sixth with a 3-over 85 and Josh Roy (46-47) ended the day with a 11-over 93.

Thanks for everyone for coming out and we will be back next Sunday (9:30 am registration/practice begins/10 am tee off).
