However, the Covert Cone and the Plain Cone both have walls of the house that do not share the same material. Covert Cones exist due to a need for clarity: clarity in purpose, clarity in work, clarity out of the chaos. As discussed, when there is chaos and confusion, the Covert Cone is an attempt to clear the fog. Plain Cones, as you will come to find out in the next chapter, build their walls from the desire to maintain the status quo. The Vice Cone’s walls are like an underground bunker. The walls are the same as the foundation. I got some exciting news today!! Turns out the first book is in the final steps of publishing!! So.. in honor of that.. here is another sneak peak.. . The SLICC is prevalent on every team and organization. It is profoundly wasteful in a world where resources are increasingly in demand and of dwindling supply. Throughout this book, I will provide examples of the SLICC throughout the business world. I will give examples from the ground level to the organizational level of mom-and-pop shops to multi-billion-dollar companies. This book is meant for business owners, business leaders, and the inquisitive minds in between who are wanting to make their cultures, companies, and lives more successful.
Throughout my research, I have divided SLICCs into three primary flavors:

Self-Preservation and Aggrandizement—The Vice Cone
Comfort-Based Decisions—The Plain Cone
