Welcome to Our Diminishing Community and boat ramp!

Welcome to the boat ramp and fishing dock—or what's left of it. You'll notice the dock is still in a precarious state of disrepair, a testament to the recent "work" that has done nothing to address its structural integrity. This is but a microcosm of the systemic neglect plaguing our community, a direct result of the Community Development District's abysmal management.

The CDD's performance is matched only by the utter incompetence of its designated contact, who has perfected the art of radio silence in the face of resident concerns. We're left to watch our community crumble, managed by the lowest-bidding, lowest-performing contractors who seem to see "maintenance" as an optional luxury.

This decline is evident everywhere you look. Our aging infrastructure—from the neglected boat ramp and fishing dock to the two perpetually ignored kayak launches—is a monument to decay. The pool equipment is barely operational, the gym is a joke, and the sidewalks are permanently stained, yet somehow this is deemed acceptable. Meanwhile, the residents are fined for minor rust stains on their homes and other pedantic infractions, a breathtaking display of hypocritical priorities. It's no surprise that residents are leaving in droves; who would want to stay in this Mickey-Mouse community?

River Place Residents: The River Place newsletter and a VOTING PACKAGE came in your mail today or will arrive soon. YOUR VOTE AS A PROPERTY OWNER IS CRITICAL. The owners of the Hawks Ridge parcel (Eco Village) want to put a RENTAL COMMUNITY here in River Place! The only way we can be SURE to stop them is by passing the 5% max rentals & 2 year minimum ownership RENTAL RESTRICTION. PLEASE VOTE YES to save River Place!

FINALLY the oppressive heat is mostly behind us, so it's a great time to get some outdoor time, maybe cast a pole, or walk the trails, which are currently dry and mowed.

Nice day on the trail if you can stand the oppressive humidity. Trail from the boat ramp to the pool parking lot is clear and dry. Trail from the parkway around the defunct EcoVillage to the ballpark is slightly muddy in 3 to 4 areas and is inexcusably unkempt with high grass.

Come on out and get some fresh air!

Dock cleaned up, shrubbery trimmed back, all the trails have been cleared and are nice and wide again. The north trail off the Parkway that goes behind the former Ecovillage is a little muddy, but passable. It's nice and cool...get off the couch!

Great weather lately to get out here. Trail from the fishing dock around to the clubhouse parking lot is dry and clear. The trail from the Parkway to left field of the ball park is very wet and mushy, but the downed tree from Irma in front of the northernmost kayak launch has FINALLY been cleared.
