Here it is, the official post. Your Merritt Island Marlins are once again champions of the BCABA with a 5-0 win against the Canaveral Pirates yesterday at the ball park in Merritt Island. Torey Eckey was dominate in his complete game shut out and the team was solid all around with solid defense, good baserunning and timely hitting. Team ownership will meet in the off season to see if we will be holding a fall team but you can be sure we will be hunting for a 4th BCABA title in the spring. The team reloads, never rebuilds.

Your Merrit Island Marlins came out swinging on Sunday sports fans and were able to mercy rule the Rockledge Rays in front of a thunderous home crowd of 15,000 (give or take a few). Next game is Sunday, 6 pm under the lights for the championship. And don't forget, it's Father's Day, the first 5000 Father's at the game get a FREE diamond level seat upgrade and get to run the bases after the game! Come out, support the good guys. Don't forget to wear your orange shirts!
