🥋 48 YEARS AGO, A JOURNEY BEGAN…

Sometimes, one photograph can take you back decades - to a time when a dream was just beginning.

In the summer of 1978, I opened my first martial arts school, teaching Shotokan Karate in the gymnasium of my own college. The 1970s were a fascinating era in Europe, when Eastern martial arts and culture were capturing the attention of a new generation. Therefore, it was quite easy to attract many young people interested in martial arts.

But what began as martial arts training, in due course, became something much greater: a lifelong journey of discipline, courage, confidence, self-control, and personal growth.

Nearly five decades later, the journey continues - and there are still lessons worth sharing.

Humble beginnings at Gita Valley Eco Farm🌳🐂🦚 in Port Royal. Looking back always brings a warm tug at the heart.🥰

Alongside self-defense techniques, our early practitioners absorbed something deeper - perseverance, indomitable spirit, and integrity. Some of them, went on to pass their exams for the next rank on the front of many Black Belt instructors of CTF Federation.

True self-development demands these qualities, not just to reach new heights in martial arts, but in life itself. We don't just train students - we raise leaders. That's the spirit behind our original name: Kshatriya Academy (Martial Arts Academy) - built by pioneers.

And pioneers always have their privileges. Ours had one special advantage: small class sizes that felt almost like private instruction, allowing every individual to be seen, supported, and pushed to grow faster.
