From gym member... to coach.
Though the military took her and her family to Japan, today, Steph stands at the front leading, inspiring, and changing lives. But her story with us began years ago as one of our very first GRITNESS Bootcamp members back in 2015, when we first started this journey as GRITNESS Cross Training.
Stories like hers are why we do what we do. They remind us that fitness is about so much more than workouts, reps, or results. It's about the impact we make on the people who walk through our doors. It's about the relationships built, the confidence gained, and the community that becomes family.
Over the years, our coaches have poured into countless lives—and those lives have gone on to inspire others. Steph is a perfect example of that.
What started as one person taking a chance on themselves has come full circle. Now she's helping others do the same.

True story. When I first started my fitness journey over a year ago with Elicia Kay Marquez Gritness Cross Training, my initial goal was to get healthy so I could be a positive role model for my son. I not only wanted to be able to keep up with him but be able to challenge him and teach him that he can do anything if he tried hard enough.

This picture captures my proudest moment and validates everything that I've worked so hard for over the past year. I was there the entire time my son was learning to ride his bike today. I was able to be his personal cheerleader and let him know that I was there to help him if he fell. It was a short distance, by far, compared to my recent personal records. But still, fatigue never set in...
