IT'S OFFICIAL!!!!! The Lady Panthers Softball Organization will be joining forces with Crush Baseball under the P.O.B.C umbrella, and we will now be Crush Fastpitch. This is not just a name change but an entire reorganization to bring the best softball resources to Port Orange and our entire area.
Coach Alissa Smith will lead the Crush Fastpitch organization as she will become the director of Softball operations. For those who do not know Coach Alissa, Coach Alissa has years of experience coaching some of the best in softball. Years coaching D1 and most other softball levels, Coach Alissa has become well known for her camps and abilities to get her girls to play at the next level. Coach Alissa's knowledge of coaching, her infectious smile, positivity, connections to almost everyone in the softball world, and her love for the game will be huge for our Crush Fastpitch family.
Coach Kurt Schoeps will stay on as VP of softball operations. Coach Kurt has been working on this transition for some time now, and we appreciate his hard work and vision over the past couple of years on bringing amazing resources to our girls.
We would be remised if we did not thank the prior Lady Panther's leadership and coaches that we have had over the years. Coach Shane and Coach Mike started the Lady Panthers from rec and quickly became State Champions. We appreciate all of the years of your hard work and dedication to providing the best experience to all of the girls that have come through as Lady Panthers. Thank you!!! Many have gone on to play at the highest level of softball but, more importantly, went on to become leaders within our community. Thank you to all of our prior coaches who have touched the lives of so many as Lady Panther's Coaches. And most of all thank you to all of the Lady Panther girls and families for years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice to being better both on and off the field.
As Crush Fastpitch, we will maintain the mission of the Lady Panthers as we feel it is important. The Crush Fastpitch Organization is a softball-only focused organization committed to young female student-athletes in Volusia County and the surrounding area. Our purpose is to provide these young athletes an experience that fosters positive self-esteem, team spirit, and individual growth through personal achievement and as a team member both on and off the field. We are committed to the development of athletic capability and sportsmanship by focusing on teaching the fundamentals of softball in an environment that supports all skill levels. The goal of the Crush Fastpitch organization is to provide the resources to each athlete so they may rise to the level of play they wish to achieve and become leaders within their communities.
