⚠️ SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING — TORNADO POSSIBLE ⚠️
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 10:15 AM for Cameron, Centre, central Clearfield, northwestern Clinton, and southeastern Elk Counties.
🌪️ A TORNADO IS POSSIBLE. Radar has detected rotation within these severe thunderstorms. Although a tornado is not immediately likely, tornadoes can develop quickly with little additional warning.
The line is racing southeast at 45 mph and is capable of producing damaging wind gusts up to 60 mph. The storms will be near Philipsburg around 9:40 AM, Osceola Mills and Houtzdale around 9:50 AM, Stormstown and Port Matilda around 10:00 AM, and State College, Bellefonte, and Rock Springs around 10:10 AM.
🚨 PENN STATE STUDENTS: This warning includes State College and the Penn State University Park area. Be prepared to move indoors quickly as the line approaches. Stay inside a sturdy building, remain away from windows, and be ready to seek more substantial shelter immediately if a Tornado Warning is issued.
The warning also includes I-80 between the Penfield and Lamar exits, from mile markers 111–165, along with I-99 from mile markers 56–85.
