It's that time of year! Texas offers a unique opportunity to hunt Sandhill Cranes, often called the "ribeye of the sky" by culinary experts. These birds travel in flocks ranging from 2 to 100 individuals, reaching heights of 3-4 feet and boasting a wingspan exceeding 5 feet. Captain Zach will expertly position you in camouflaged layout blinds, utilizing full-body decoys within the vegetative fields. Remember, a migratory bird endorsement on your license is required. To hunt Sandhill Cranes, you must obtain a crane permit, which can be obtained free of charge at a Texas Parks and Wildlife Station or online for $5. Season run from Dec 13 to Jan 18
