GYM UPDATE

We know everyone has been waiting patiently, so here’s the current update:

As of right now, the property owner has been fighting his insurance company in court regarding the claim. He has officially won, and it is now in the negotiation phase for payout.

The original contractors that were hired only showed up for two days and unfortunately never returned to continue the work. At this point, our hands are tied - this is a building and insurance matter that is completely out of our control. There is nothing further we can do until the insurance process is finalized and new contractors are officially approved to begin work.

We expect to have a more solid update within the next couple of weeks, as the insurance company will be sending out another contractor to submit a new bid.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience during this process. We are just as eager as you are to get the doors back open.

We’ll also be posting a sneak peek photo in this post of some of the new equipment we’ve been storing away for reopening. Trust us - it’s going to be worth the wait.

We are pleased to report that momentum is building for the gym. Following comprehensive preparations, including fulfillment of insurance and permit obligations, construction activities have commenced. Truss installation is presently underway. While a specific opening date has yet to be determined, we will keep you informed once confirmed. Transparency will be maintained through regular Facebook updates, thereby reducing the need for individual calls or messages. We commend the contractors on their commitment, especially considering the upcoming holidays. 💪🏽💪🏽

As of today, all memberships will be paused until we reopen.

We are still awaiting a response from the insurance company and will provide an update as soon as we receive feedback.

Update: We met with contractors today and they are currently developing a plan, ready to proceed as soon as we receive word from the insurance company. Hopefully, the insurance process doesn't get dragged on much longer!

We would like to express our gratitude to everyone for their patience. Currently, we are still on standby, awaiting a response from our insurance provider and a final decision regarding the front portion and upstairs of the gym. We have received a positive assessment from one engineer and a negative assessment from another.

Myself (Rick) and Jake are working diligently to move the process forward and exploring alternative plans if needed. In the worst-case scenario, the gym will be closed, and all membership payments will be suspended as of August 1st until reopening.

The outdoor facilities will remain accessible to all members throughout this process(even if we are forced to close). Once again, we apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your understanding that we are doing everything possible to resolve this situation.

Here are just a couple of pictures of the damage. We have scheduled a meeting with an engineer for tomorrow and have arranged appointments with our insurance provider, with the goal of expediting the process as efficiently as possible.

Again, we would like to express our gratitude to all members for their patience and understanding. We will provide updates throughout this whole process.

Dear members,

We hope this message finds you well. We regret to inform you that due to unexpected property damage at Blue Water Fitness we must temporarily close our facility to ensure the safety of all members and staff.

The damage occurred on 06/26/25 and after assessing the situation with our contractors and safety team, we’ve determined that repairs are necessary before we can safely reopen. At this time, we do not have an estimate for closure but will keep you updated as the situation evolves. The outside part of the facility will remain open unless advised otherwise.

We truly apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding as we work diligently to restore the gym. Our top priority is your safety, and we’re committed to getting back to serving you as soon as possible.
