Fish report 1/9/26-The good, bad and ugly
The January thaw is in full swing.
Lexington harbor has been steady this year on Atlantic's and a few coho, time will tell if the ice holds. Heavy south winds today along with lots of water on top of the ice will make some tough fishing.
Port Sanilac has plenty of open water for some casting , try cleos or jointed raps.
The nice part with this weather is guys have been pushing out of Marysville for some jigging. Watch your winds due to ice in the river. We have had multiple boats out jigging with some nice size fish. Large emeralds with your favorite plastics.
Shore anglers around Port Huron have really had a good winter fishing for white fish . Small minnows is the ticket. Watch your rods due to the ducks that also like the minnow. Good fishing !

When Anderson’s Pro Bait was founded we wanted to create a store where anyone could come in, ask questions, and get great advice from knowledgeable staff that would put them on fish. Well over a decade later I can say we have and will continue to succeed at just that.

With well over a decade under our belt we’re always improving our selection of products to fit every angler’s needs (or wants...we don’t judge). We’ve expanded our bass selection to include tons of popular plastics hand picked by our in-house bass expert.
