At 87 years young, Tony continues to prove that age is just a number.

A proud U.S. Navy veteran, Tony shows up ready to give 100% effort every single class. No matter the workout, no matter the challenge, he gives it everything he’s got.

This past weekend, Tony joined the U60 team for the Under the Moon 5K and finished first in his age group — another reminder that consistency, determination, and hard work never go out of style.

Tony doesn’t look for excuses. He leads by example, encourages those around him, and inspires our entire community with his work ethic and positive attitude.

Results don’t happen when you’re training. They happen when you’re recovering.

That’s exactly why U60 is programmed the way it is:

▪️ Monday: Lower Body
▪️ Tuesday: Upper Body
▪️ Wednesday: Cardio & Core
▪️ Thursday: Lower Body
▪️ Friday: Upper Body
▪️ Saturday: Cardio & Core

This schedule gives your muscles approximately 72 hours to recover before training the same movement patterns again.

Recovery isn’t taking time off—it’s what allows your body to adapt, rebuild, and come back stronger.

Make the most of your workouts by prioritizing:

If your shoulders are doing all the work during chest exercises, your setup needs attention.

Before every press, pull your shoulders down and back, keep your chest proud, and press with your elbows at a 30–45° angle.

A strong setup helps you:

✅ Increase chest activation
✅ Reduce unnecessary shoulder strain
✅ Improve pressing strength and control

Remember: the rep starts before the weight moves.

MEMBER MONDAY: MISS RUTH ❕

Miss Ruth is the perfect example of what U60 is all about: fitness is for everybody.

When she first started, breaking 45 degrees in a squat was a challenge. Today, she’s confidently squatting a barbell to full depth — proving that consistency, hard work, and showing up can change everything.

Her progress goes far beyond the physical changes. Week after week, Ruth continues to grow stronger mentally and physically, taking on every challenge with determination and a positive attitude.

Most importantly, Ruth has four grandkids who need a strong, active, and healthy grandma, and she’s doing her part to make sure she can keep up with them for years to come.

Your journey is an inspiration to everyone at U60, Ruth. Thank you for showing our community that it’s never too late to get stronger.
