This year marks the 40th anniversary of the Buckley Open. To celebrate, we’ve recreated Bob’s original logo and are offering commemorative hoodies and 1/4 zips for purchase. Proceeds will support one of Bob’s passion projects—the short course, The Hive at Verona Hills Golf Club.

⛳ Join Team Bob Buckley!

We’re looking for players to tee it up on Monday, September 22nd at The Hive – Verona Hills’ short course.

This is a free event open to anyone who wants to play. You can join for as many (or as few) holes as you’d like—this is all about fun, not scorecards.

Just bring your wedges and a putter, dress warm, and enjoy a relaxed day of golf and good company.

☕ Coffee and muffins will be ready for both golfers and spectators. Come walk The Hive with us!

We wrapped up the 2025 Buckley Open season with a fun scramble at Verona Hills Golf Club today for our 13–18-year-old players! For many, it was their first scramble — and a wonderful learning experience. 👏⛳️

A huge thank you to Tim Hallwood and Vicki Gardner for generously donating the food and drinks, and to Lisa McManaman, Trudy Gage, Chris Kuzak, Don & Pam Kuzak, Thumb Bank, and Vicki Gardner for the awesome prizes.

We’re also so grateful to all the parents and grandparents who made sure the players got to the course on time and were able to watch the fun!

Thanks to everyone for a great morning of golf and a wonderful end to the season! 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️🎉

It was a tight race to the top at today’s end-of-season Buckley Open scramble at Verona Hills Golf Club🏆⛳️

🥇 1st Place – Something Cool with an impressive score of 63

🥈 2nd Place – Three-Peat just one stroke behind at 64

🥉 3rd Place (Tie) – Club Throwers & Bombs and Gouge both carding a 66

Registration, range balls, drinks, lunch and prizes will be provided by our generous sponsors, players will be done by 1pm.

We ended the 2025 Buckley Open season at Scenic Golf and Country Club today. It has been a joy to see golfers improve and meet their goals throughout the season! Thank you to Pete and the crew at Scenic, parents, grandparents, and volunteers, it was a memorable day!

Registration is now closed for Thursday's Buckley Open at Scenic Golf and Country Club! Below is the tee sheet—please arrive at least 15 minutes before your golfer’s tee time to ensure a smooth check-in and time to get to the tee.

🏌️‍♂️ Format by Age Group:
• Ages 13–18: 18 holes
• Ages 10–12: 9 holes
• Ages 8–9: 6 holes
• Ages 5–7: 4 holes

Awards and lunch will be provided for all golfers and their families in the clubhouse after the round thanks to our generous sponsors.

We are looking for additional volunteers to walk with 4,6, and 9 hole groups. Please send me a message if you would like to spend a few hours on the course on Friday!

This is a great way to wrap up the season, meet new players, and play a team scramble with golfers their age.
