You're invited to join us for a special evening at the 20th Annual "Senior" Senior Prom, themed Jazz Fever in the City By the Sea. This unforgettable celebration will occur on Friday, June 6, 2025, at 5:00 pm in our Amos Evans Building at the Recreation Center. Designed to honor and uplift our treasured senior community, this year's event promises to be a charming night filled with joy, music, and memories. Guests will be immersed in the lively energy of the Jazz Age, surrounded by beautiful themed décor that evokes the charm of a city by the sea. The evening will feature a live jazz band and a vibrant DJ to keep the music going all night long. The perfect blend of classic rhythms and modern favorites will be available for everyone. Whether you're ready to dance the night away or prefer to relax and enjoy the melodies, this event will offer something for every guest. Attendees are encouraged to dress in formal or festive attire inspired by the jazz theme—think sparkling accessories, flapper flair, or a classic suit and tie—but most importantly, we invite you to come as you are and enjoy the evening in good company.

Yesterday, we had a wonderful Earth Day celebration, with over 100 volunteers bringing together local organizations, industry partners, and school groups! Throughout the day, we successfully collected over 50 bags of litter, demonstrating our commitment to keeping our environment clean. In addition, we beautified our community by planting vibrant flowers in more than five of our parks, the Police Department, and City Hall. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us in this effort; your dedication and hard work made a significant difference in enhancing the beauty of our community!

“Our Power, Our Planet”

In honor of Earth Day 2025, the city will organize a comprehensive trash cleanup event that invites residents from all neighborhoods to participate.
