With the season coming to an end its time for a photo dump. Absolutely epic season with its highs and lows, but we continue to grind and learn in those tougher conditions and reap the benefits when they come easy.
Thank you for everyone that came out to fish with me this fall, can't wait to do it again next year!

Little tackle tip we utilize in certain times of the season, a very productive and inexpensive way of twitching jigs.
Hoochie jigs are very underutilized yet can perform outstanding with their unique action especially in those 3 to 6 foot flats and travel lanes.
All you need are some 1/2 oz bullet jig heads, 4.5 inch hoochie skirts and a pair of clippers. I really prefer Getm Dry Fishing Company blank jig heads, the non collar bigger jig head makes them fitter tighter but the strong 2X 4/0 hooks sits further back missing less strikes. Any hoochie brand will work but im partial to Gold Star and P-Line ones in your standard coho colors (pinks, greens, purples, blues, blacks, glow, ect). Come with a variety and let the fish tell you what they want.
Step 1: assemble your supplies in front of you
Step 2: open the hootchie up so tentacles are getting trapped inside on the following steps
Step 3: Dip your jig head in some water and push inside of hoochie skirt to the very end of hoochie rotating until eyes are on either side of jig head and sits fairly level on jig head
Step 4: either clip the hoochie where eye of jig head will stick out or rub eye of jig hook on a hard surface to expose
And that's it! Simple, effective and inexpensive, no more being gun shy when casting around structure and wood.
