Pooler Karate offers traditional and modern karate training in Pooler, Georgia, focusing on teaching self-discipline, respect, and physical fitness. Students of all ages learn striking techniques, kata (forms), and sparring, building both physical and mental strength. In addition to karate, Krav Maga is also taught, emphasizing practical and realistic self-defense techniques developed by the Israe

li military. This system focuses on instinctive movements, aggressive counter-attacks, and quickly learned techniques applicable in real-life situations, including defense against armed and unarmed attacks, multiple attackers, and situational awareness. The school also provides training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ), a martial art centered on ground fighting and submission grappling. BJJ teaches control over an opponent using joint locks, chokeholds, and leverage, making it effective for self-defense regardless of size or strength. Practitioners engage in live sparring (rolling) to practice techniques in realistic settings, enhancing their skills and confidence in self-defense scenarios.

America’s Best was respectfully represented at the Tactical and Operations Performance Conference by Carson, Chappy, Julio, and Vegas, who delivered a presentation on human performance and the advancement of defensive tactics training models for military and law enforcement.

Our focus was on developing effective, performance based systems that enhance readiness, decision making, and operational efficiency in high stress environments.

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to present at the Tactical and Operations Performance Conference and to engage with fellow professionals. Experiences like this allow us to share ideas, learn from others, and continue advancing our approach to human performance and defensive tactics training.
