In the Round Traditional Mysore method of Ashtanga practiced in a yurt

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic system to connect mind and body through breath and movement.

We are on a break and open to personal practice only this summer (2017). Feel free to contact me with any questions. Mysore Ashtanga yoga is a different way to practice yoga. If you are new to yoga or new to Ashtanga yoga, the best way to start is to just show up. We are committed to teaching you the practice in a nurturing, traditional environment. Don’t worry if you don’t know the series. Thats

why we are here! Beginners will get quite a bit of personal instruction as you earn the sequence pose by pose. It doesnt take long to commit the practice to memory. Your practice can last anywhere from 30 mins to 1 hour as a beginner. Your practice may increase over time as poses are added and your needs are addressed. We suggest that you practice at least 2-3x week for your first month. Of course, if your schedule is tight, come when you can. Come hydrated with a mat, towel, rug or yogi toes and an open mind! The first few times you come we will focus on moving with breath and memorizing the series. Since the mysore style of ashtanga yoga is so individualized, your practice will look much different from your neighbors based on your specific needs. Mysore offers the benefit of private instruction and personal attention within the power of a group dynamic. We operate on a donation based system. Give what you can, you wont be turned away. Suggested donation of $10 per drop in.
