PART 1 of 3 with the new irons

SUB 70 649 MB TOUR +1/4”
True Temper Dynamic Gold X100

Smash Factor of the charts

I have to say these things are solid af
Great look and heavy
One gripe about them is the click sound - I have heard other people talk about how they click

- I guess playing titleist my whole life you get used to the best sound in the world- but the tech in these are enough to make me a believer -

These are some easy numbers - won’t know for sure till I get them on grass - for now they are a go-

Part 2-3 coming soon …

If your setup is sloppy, your swing is guessing. This one is for players who want a simple system they can repeat under pressure.
1️⃣ Back foot (alignment backbone)
Your back foot is the engine of your alignment. Wherever it points, your body points, and that’s the line your club wants to travel on. Set that back foot first and understand you’re not just placing a shoe, you’re choosing a shot line.
2️⃣ Clubface & back foot match
Right after the back foot, I set the face. These two are married. I don’t change one without the other unless I’m hitting a punch‑out, rope hook, or banana peeler around a tree. For stock shots, back foot and face angle always work together and match the intended start line.
3️⃣ Distance from the ball
Set the clubhead down so it sits flush on the ground. Then let the club decide how far you stand from the ball based on where the grip naturally sits. From there, adjust your distance without losing 1️⃣ and 2️⃣. Think micro moves: millimeters or centimeters, not inches.
4️⃣ Ball position (Hogan‑inspired)
Ball position changes per club, but you need a blueprint. I like using the Ben Hogan ball position concept as a starting point and then adjusting for modern tech and your own tendencies. At address, aim for a neutral shaft and face angle, because ideally at impact your hands and shaft are slightly ahead of the clubhead.
5️⃣ Grip (last lock‑in)
I like to lock in alignment, then take the grip so my hands match where my body and club are aiming. For right‑handed golfers: left hand “V” pointing at your right eye or right cheek, right hand “V” pointing between your eyes. We’ll do a whole separate deep dive on grip, plus a Hogan‑inspired tweak that helped tame the occasional snap hook with irons.

Simulator golf gets way more hate than it deserves.
If you actually want to improve your golf game — especially in winter — simulator golf and indoor golf practice are hard to beat.
You get real feedback, more golf reps, and consistent golf practice without weather, slow play, or wasting time.
Golf improvement isn’t about where you practice.
It’s about showing up and doing the work.
