Grips: Is a golf grip a fundamental or a preference. I vote preference. No question of its vital importance so the hands & wrists can function correctly but there are many variations in grips found on the PGA Tour. Here’s a comparison of grips if some top finishers in this past weeks Colonial Invitational. Berger the winner has a strong left hand grip but a weak right hand, DJ is strong in both hands, Rahm is weak in both hands, and Spieth has a weak left hand grip and a neutral to strong right hand. Daniel Berger, who quietly has a streak of 27 consecutive rounds of par or better going. So many teaching pros out there would be saying, clubs stuck behind him, need to get the club...... what? He plays on tour, he’s won with this!
There are two different kinds of instructions... those who are trying to teach golf to people, and then those who are teaching people to play golf.

Sage advise from the #1 Putting instructor in the world, Phil Kenyon. Follow him if you don’t. To Phil’s point, listening to friends and searching for this tip or that tip is a sure fire way to not improve. In today’s era where top coaches are available to instruct you online at fraction of the cost it would be to see them in person everyone should be taking advantage of that. Do you have a real opportunity to improve your game for far less cost than seeing a top instructor live. if you want to get better
