Dear Indians Family,
As we close this season, our hearts are full—and breaking just a bit. These past 4–5 years have been about so much more than baseball. We’ve built a family.
These boys have grown up together—side-by-side through the wins, the losses, the dugouts, and the dirt. Together, they learned teamwork, loyalty, brotherhood, and resilience. And now, as they step into high school, we couldn’t be prouder of the young men they’ve become.
But it wasn’t just them who were changed.
We parents found a family too. We celebrated holidays, shared vacations, and opened our homes—no knocking needed. These boys walked in not as guests, but as our own. That’s what this team became: one big, beautiful, unforgettable family.
Our son joined the Indians right before homeschool—and it was exactly what he needed. He didn’t just find a team. He found people who believed in him, loved him, and pushed him higher. That wasn’t by chance—God put us here. And we’re forever grateful.
So even though the uniforms are hanging up and the dugouts are quiet now, this chapter isn’t ending—it’s living on in the memories we’ve made, in the boys we’ve raised, and in the love we’ll always have for this team.
Thank you for the laughter, the lessons, the love, and the lifelong bonds.
Once an Indian, always an Indian.
With all our love,
The Hughes Family
