Ponchatoula Area Recreation District #1 (Ponchatoula Recreation Park) is a recreational facility offering a wide range of activities for southern Tangipahoa Parish. Our complex is located on a beautiful 90 acre tract of land off Hoover Road just east of Ponchatoula. Our facility has a mile long paved walking/jogging trail that is enjoyed daily by many people throughout the area. We have a playgrou

nd with many activities for young children. A large pavilion offers a perfect place for families to spend time together for birthday parties, school functions, and other social events. We have many football and baseball fields for recreational leagues for children of all ages. A pond stocked with fish allows people without a boat a chance to enjoy catch and release fishing. The indigenous live oaks and pine trees along with other landscaped areas offer a beautiful place to enjoy the outdoors. Our state of the art double gymnasium, completed this year, includes two courts, a concession area, walking track and conference room. Recreation District Board Members:

Yesterday, we had the privilege of celebrating a very special milestone for one of our own.

Please join us in congratulating Don Baudouin on 25 years of dedicated service to PARD! 🎉

We gathered for lunch in our Events Building to celebrate Don and the many years he has spent helping keep PARD running and looking its best. His coworkers shared funny stories, favorite memories and plenty of moments that reminded us just how much Don has become a part of the PARD family.

Of course, Don had a few stories of his own to share, and he kept us entertained with memories from his years at the park. After 25 years, we're pretty sure Don has witnessed just about everything PARD has to offer!

Don, thank you for the countless hours, the hard work, the stories, the laughter and the years you've given to PARD. We are incredibly grateful for everything you do and for the important part you play in our PARD family.

Congratulations on 25 years, Don! Here's to all the memories made and all the ones still to come. ❤️👏

🏈 THE NEXT GENERATION IS READY! 🏈

From quick feet and strong throws to big smiles and plenty of hustle, these young players came ready to compete, learn, and have some fun! 🙌🏈

We’re excited to see these athletes take the field, make new friends, build their skills, and create some great memories this season. 💚

Check out a few moments from the 7-10 year old flag football evaluations! 📸👇

September is my favorite month. 🍂

There’s something about this time of year that invites us to slow down, take inventory, and prepare for a new season. Even here in Louisiana, where the weather doesn’t always get the memo that fall is coming, I love the transition.

In yoga, we’re constantly reminded that growth also requires release.

So as we move into September, I invite you to ask yourself:

🍂 What do I need to let fall away?
🌱 What deserves more of my attention so it can grow?
🌾 What am I cultivating now that I hope to harvest later?

This month, I’ll be spending a lot of time in our community—creating space to move, breathe, connect, and grow. Here’s where you can find me:

✨ September 3 | 4–7 PM
I’ll be attending Ponchatoula 22 Estate’s Meet & Greet! Come say hello and connect with some of our local businesses and community members.

🌿 September 12 | 9:30 AM
Yoga at the Park at Cate Street in Hammond, in partnership with Lauren Buras, Realtor & Full Circle Title.

We’re currently looking for additional sponsors who would like to support this community wellness event. If your business is interested in sponsoring, send me a message!

🌱 September 17 | 5:30 PM
Yoga at Ponchatoula Recreation Park — a donation-based community yoga class by Pete’s Lake in Ponchatoula.

💚 September 22
I’ll be leading a yoga session during Welcome Week at Northshore Technical Community College’s Hammond Campus.

🧘‍♀️ September 28
I’ll be at Hope House leading a yoga session for their clinical team.

September reminds us that every season has a purpose. Some things are meant to be released. Some things need to be nurtured. And some things simply need time.

Here’s to letting go of what no longer serves us, tending to what matters, and making space for a beautiful harvest. 🌾

Happy September, friends. 🤍
