TECH TIP FROM THE FIELD 🔧
We’ve been seeing an increase in GE French-door refrigerators with fresh food cooling complaints tied to known GE service bulletins.
GE is aware of the issue and is addressing it.
Common symptoms include: • Fresh food section warming up
• Freezer still cooling normally
• Loud evaporator fan noise
• Intermittent temperature swings
• Ice buildup around the evaporator fan
• Error codes 106, 107, or 108
In many cases, the issue is related to the fresh food evaporator fan motor and updated control board software — not a sealed system failure like many homeowners are told.
Proper diagnosis matters. We follow manufacturer service procedures and updated repair information to help avoid unnecessary part replacement.

There’s been a recent service update affecting certain models. In most cases, it’s not a safety issue, but it can cause problems with how the machine runs.

🧼 FRONT LOAD WASHER NOT DRAINING? SMELLY? THROWING CODES?
Before you call for service, try this 👇
Your washer has a drain filter that can get clogged with:
• Coins
• Bobby pins
• Pet hair
• Lint buildup
• Small socks
When that filter clogs, you may notice:
✔️ Slow draining
✔️ Water left in the drum
✔️ Musty odor
✔️ Error codes
✔️ Washer won’t spin
Cleaning it only takes a few minutes and can save you a service call.
⚠️ Pro Tip: Put a towel down first — water WILL come out.
If you clean it and you're still having issues, that usually means:
