The Days of '56 Rodeo Committee is deeply saddened by the passing of our longtime committee member and dear friend, Randy Nelson.

Randy dedicated many years of service to the Days of '56 Rodeo. His willingness to help, steady presence, and commitment to our committee played an important role in making our rodeo what it is today. We are grateful for the many years he devoted to our organization and the friendships he built along the way.

On behalf of the Days of '56 Rodeo Committee, we extend our sincere condolences to Randy's family and friends. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Randy will be greatly missed.

As the dust settles on the 2026 Days of ’56 Rodeo, we just want to say THANK YOU!

Thank you to every fan who filled the stands, every contestant who entered, every sponsor who invested in our event, every volunteer who gave their time, and everyone who worked behind the scenes to make this year’s rodeo a success.

From the grand entry to the final ride, this weekend was filled with great competition, unforgettable moments, and the incredible community spirit that makes Ponca so special.

Enjoy this look back at an amazing weekend, and thank you for being part of the 2026 Days of ‘56 Rodeo. We can’t wait to do it all again next year! 🤠🐴💙

Some things never change.

The Arena Race has been a Days of ‘56 tradition for generations, and there’s nothing quite like it. Ten riders. Ten horses. One baton. Split-second exchanges. Heart-pounding speed.

But the best part?

The crowd.

When those horses come charging around the arena, the grandstands come alive. The cheering, the excitement, and the hometown pride make this one of the most thrilling events of the weekend.

One of the biggest hits of the Days of ’56 Rodeo is back—the Critter Scramble!

When the gate opens, kids race into the arena with one goal:
🎉 Catch a critter… and if you catch it, you get to KEEP IT! 🎉

From piglets and goats to bunnies and chickens, you never know what furry or feathered friend you might take home!

The smiles, the laughter, the muddy dives, and the unforgettable memories make this a crowd favorite every year.

Bring the kids, bring your camera, and don’t miss one of the most entertaining traditions of rodeo week!

🤠 Days of 56 Rodeo Parking 🤠

To make your arrival as smooth as possible, please review the parking map before heading to the rodeo.

🟦 Handicap Parking, Passenger Unloading & Ticket Will Call are located on the north side of the arena.

🟥 General Fan Parking is available at the Co-op south of the arena.
• No trailers, please.
• Do not block the fuel pumps.

🟪 Contestant Parking is located in the designated areas southwest of the arena. Please follow the signs on 591 Ave.
🐴warm up arena is located here as well.

🚪 Please enter through the marked Entry Gates shown on the map.

Our parking volunteers will be available to help direct traffic. Thank you for helping us keep traffic flowing and everyone safe.

Join us for Tough Enough to Wear Pink Night at the Days of '56 PRCA Rodeo and help support the June E. Nylen Cancer Center. A portion of tonight's proceeds will be donated to support cancer care right here in our region.
