On Sunday May 26th, Genesis Gym and Perform as Designed will be hosting an official Murph Challenge at 119 Wanaque Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442. Event starts at 7:30AM, with the first heat starting at 8AM
1 Mile Run
100 Pullups
200 Pushups
300 Squats
1 Mile Run
To participate in the challenge, you can go to themurphchallange.com, purchase a shirt and register with Genesis Gym x Perform as Designed, or pay a minimum of $10 at the door. If you would like to donate but don’t plan on participating, there is no minimum donation required. We accept cash or electronic payments. All proceeds will go to event costs and the Lt. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation.

The town Memorial Day Parade will be on the same day, so parking may be a challenge, and will not be permitted on Wanaque Ave, so please utilize street parking off of the main street.

The Murph Challenge is the Official annual fundraiser of the LT. Michael P. Murphy Memorial Scholarship Foundation, presented by Forged®.
In Afghanistan, a two-hour gunfight ensued between 4 Navy SEALs and the Taliban that resulted in the death of Michael P. Murphy, Danny Dietz, and Matthew Axelson on June 28, 2005.
Murphy exposed himself to enemy fire in order to call for a rescue for his men. Murphy was awarded the Medal Honor for his courageous actions.
The Murph Challenge workout is designed after a workout called Body Armor that Murphy would do to prepare himself for the demands of his job as a SEAL.
