Finally beat the gremlins and she had a run!

Unfortunately she went lean and blew the burst panel.

We are happy to have it running on all 8 cylinders and making a run.

We’ll get at it and get her fixed.

Thanks Michael Gebo for all your help today and the video.

Afternoon run was not good at all. More issues.

We’ve changing more electrical parts.

We’ll run again tonight in the 6:30 show and see what happens.

Changed out the spark plug wire.

Have some more electrical parts at the ready but we think this will fix the issue.

Putting water in the motorhome and will load Rollin Thunder shortly and head to the Schaghitcoke Fair for tomorrow’s New York Tractor Pullers Association - NYTPA pull at noon and 6:30 pm.

Come on out and see us!

Congrats tonight to Todd Dyer for winning at his home tone fair with Loose Cannon. We know Zoë was riding with you!! ❤️❤️

One slightly discolored push rod replaced. Almost all needed to be adjusted. It’s only the second full run on the motor and things tend to get loose at first. They will settle over the next couple of runs.

Everything else inside looks good.

Next step is to look and see if we have a spark plug wire, mag, points box or some other electrical issue that made us lose #2 on both hooks. We’ll keep you posted!

Not sure where we’re are headed next or when. We will post when we know!

A couple of more gremlins got us yesterday.

When JD lined up for the afternoon hook, he saw a major fuel leak when he was taking off. He stopped and we dropped to last. Unfortunately, it was a cracked fitting on a fuel hose we didn’t have time to fix to come back.

We took the truck back to the trailer and got the fitting changed. When we started it for a double check of the fuel lines, we found a gouge in the blower belt so we took time to change that too.

Thanks to Brad and Justin for making those fixes happen!

Thanks to Cody Petro and Kaitlyn Desautels for helping work on the trucks, get us through the chaos of the pits and keeping us hydrated all day!

For the night hook he had a great take off and run down the track. However he dropped the #2 cylinder at about 50 feet and was only ln 7 cylinders for the run. Check out the video below. Thanks Jaime Quinn Santorelli!

He still grabbed second place by just under 2 feet. If the truck had been running on all 8 cylinders he’d have had first place for sure!

We had a great time seeing everyone. If you stopped by and we didn’t have time to chat we are sorry! A two hook day takes a lot of work even when we have no issues! We appreciate all of you who can to cheer us on!

We will dig in and see if we can figure out the #2 cylinder issue this week and let you know where we’ll be next!

If you grabbed any photos or videos we’d love if you’d share them in the comments! We don’t have a lot of time to get stuff and appreciate when you do!

Rollin Thunder is loaded and ready to roll for the New York Tractor Pullers Association - NYTPA at Washington County Fair this Saturday.

JD will be pulling in the noon and 7 pm shows.

We are 99% sure we found all of our fuel system issues. 🤞🏻

Unfortunately, we will not have Hell on Wheels ready. 🥲

If you come down stop by and say hi! We have some new swag we can’t wait to give away!!

Good News - Bad News update:

Good news - We fired up Rollin Thunder yesterday evening and #2 cylinder issue seems to be resolved. Looks like it was just a spark plug issue.

Bad news - we still have a fuel system issue. We did find a leaking hose that will need to be replaced. However, we also found something in the fuel screen so we think we have another issue.

When looking at the cylinder temps on the data logger, the motor got way too hot way too easy.

We will be digging in further over the next couple of days to root out the issues.

We are still pushing for our hometown pull at Washington County Fair with New York Tractor Pullers Association - NYTPA on Saturday 8/29.

Stay tuned for more updates this week.

New spark plugs ✅
Valves adjusted ✅
Oil filter checked ✅

Not positive yet why we lost cylinder #2. We are hopeful it was just a bad spark plug as the push rods look fine.

Found a few loose fittings in the fuel system but not sure that’s our fuel issue. We have more to look through.

Now that we’ve done basic maintenance we will fire it up and see if #2 is good.

One step at a time we will figure it out. Stay tuned. 📺

Ever wonder what it’s like to be in the rig as we enter these small town fair grounds?

Ride along with us for the big hill, sharp turns, and close narrow entrance to Balston Spa fairgrounds.

JD even stayed quiet and didn’t swear this time. 🤪🤪
