Florida summer is in full swing! As temperatures rise, it’s important to recognize the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke before they become dangerous.

Whether you’re enjoying our parks, summer programs, sports, or outdoor events, remember to:
• Stay hydrated
• Take breaks in the shade or indoors
• Wear lightweight clothing
• Never ignore symptoms like dizziness, confusion, nausea, or heavy sweating

If someone shows signs of heat stroke, call 911 immediately.

Stay cool, stay safe, and look out for one another this summer. 💧

We’re excited to announce the launch of our NEW online Parks & Recreation platform: CivicPlus Recreation! 🎉

Residents can now easily register for classes, reserve facilities, purchase event tickets, apply for permits, sign up for programs, and more—all in one convenient place.

As we transition from RecTrac to CivicPlus, we appreciate your patience and support during this exciting upgrade. Our goal is to make your experience smoother, faster, and more user-friendly than ever before!

June is CPR & AED Awareness Month ❤️

We’re committed to keeping our community safe, and one of the ways we’re helping do that is recently adding AED (Automated External Defibrillator) emergency boxes at parks and public spaces across our City.

You can now find AED cabinets at:
✔️ The Bait Shop at the Fisher Family Pier
✔️ The Pompano Beach Golf Club, at the Rest Stop on the Pines Course
✔️ Community Park, near the pickleball courts
✔️ Hunters Manor Park
✔️ and George Brummer Park…with more locations to come soon!

These devices are publicly accessible and connected to 911, so emergency services are automatically notified the moment the box is opened. The AED will guide you with clear voice and visual instructions every step of the way, so there's no special training needed!
