🌊 SATURDAY AFTERNOON WRECK DIVE 🌊

This Saturday afternoon Aqualife Divers is heading to one of South Florida’s favorite artificial reefs… the wreck of the Okinawa! 🤿

The Okinawa is a 107-foot Army Tug sitting perfectly upright in 69 feet of water inside Shipwreck Park Pompano Beach. Her massive 8-foot propeller alone weighs over 2,000 pounds, and the wreck rises all the way up to 35 feet at the top of the pilot house.

Originally powered by a 40,000 lb Fairbanks Morse engine and weighing in at 350 tons loaded, this wreck has become one of the most exciting dives in South Florida and is the 18th wreck added to Shipwreck Park.

🌊 Today we’re heading out to explore the wreck of the RSB-1. Once used by the U.S. Navy as a tender, she now rests upright in about 115 feet of water and makes for an incredible South Florida wreck dive.
Conditions are looking great:

✔ Water temp. in the upper 70s
✔ Around 60 feet of visibility
✔ Beautiful South Florida diving conditions

Today was an absolutely beautiful day to be out on the ocean. 🌊

We had great temperatures, calm seas, and some really impressive visibility. Today’s group explored the wrecks of the Captain Dan and the Qualcomm Tugs, and the marine life definitely showed up for us. From massive Goliath Grouers to the small but mighty Lionfish, there was something to see on every dive.

I’m also proud of our divers for doing their part to help keep our reefs and wrecks clean by bringing up trash left behind underwater. Small actions make a big difference.

🌊 Another great day on the water with Aqualife Divers 🌊

Today’s adventure took us to the wreck of the Ancient Mariner, followed by a stop at the Pompano Trench before heading back to reality.

Conditions were beautiful:
