Pickle Techie Vlog #7 - Vole No Mas X Paddle Launch and PYCL Tryouts

A weekend in the south of Manila: the Vole No Mas X launch with Sam, the owner of Vole, and first impressions from Evonne and Karl. Then RESET Pickleball in Filinvest, Alabang, where we meet Carson, a Southern California player-coach playing in the MPPT.

Sunday: Pickle Mars filming at Tela Park in Las Piñas, then the PYCL tryouts at The Pickle Yard SOMO, which ran until 2 AM. Monday: my take on charging players for tryouts.

Pickle Techie Vlog #6 - Manila Cup and Pickle Mars Podcast Filming

Two days in Manila: filming Pickle Mars at Third Shot with Sarah Jane and Leander, then the C-PAK Manila Cup 2026 at Dink Arena, Las Piñas - with a schedule that ran more than four hours late.

Danica and Jess finished runner-up in Women's Open. Evonne and Lucy played with zero practice, with Evonne in the middle of her vet school finals. Plus Micay's first Manila tournament, and what went wrong with the day.

PTC IS OPEN AGAIN 💜

We closed for a week to repaint the courts and the community did not take it well. "Hindi kami okay nung walang PTC." One of them said he learned to go to the gym instead.

Reopening night in Tarlac: the fresh paint, the cracks ground down, no more dead spot, and where everybody actually played while we were closed. Capped at 40 for the test night - coaching back the next day.

Salamat kay Mauie for getting the painter to say yes to the evening. 😅
