Pomeroy Gun Club wishes to thank the East Washingtonian for allowing us the space to report our Season and it has been my pleasure as reporter to write the Articles weekly for the publication once produced by my Father.
On another note, we will not be hosting a Baseball team from the NAIA World Series. New management at CCI/Speer had decided not to sponsor this year with Dr. Eggleston so they are going to go a different direction entertaining the team.

Week three of the Camas Prairie Competition for Pomeroy Gun Club members treated them with Cold Temperatures and abundant Sunshine. Now, one would think that abundant Sunshine would be a good thing and it is unless your Trap range faces East. Early shooters battled the Sun that made visualizing Targets a bit more difficult than the past two weeks.
About half of the Junior shooters shot on Saturday as AAU events again kept the youth busy. Pomeroy Gun Club likes to see them busy even if they are not at the Range. In the 12 year old division 16 yard shooting Blake Warren and Riley Gagnon were the top shooters with scores of 18X25 Kaysen Lehmitz chipped in with a score of 16. In the youngest divisions Handicap competition Blake Warren again headed the field with a 16 and Shaun Bingman posted a 15.
Luke Collier posted a nice 23 to lead the Sub Juniors in 16 yard shooting and Conrad Nelson put up a score of 20. Sub Junior Handicap saw Collier again lead with a 21 and Josh Hastings was close behind with a score of 20.
The Juniors were led in 16 yard shooting with Hagen Taylor posting 20 and Issac C**n shooting a 19. The Junior Handicap saw Hagen Taylor breaking a nice 23 and Byron Collier close behind with a 22.
On Sunday the Adult shooters were joined by a number of Youth shooters who had Saturday commitments elsewhere. Buck Geiger continued his hot 16 yard shooting with his third perfect 25 and Ollie Severs fresh back from his LCSC shooting in Las Vegas posting his second 25 in as many weeks. Those were the only perfect scores on the day but Brian Bingman, Lee Koller, Mitch Ruchert, Terry John, Troy Steele and Wayne Tetrick all missed just one target for scores of 24. In Senior Club Handicap Tetrick posted a perfect 25. Lee Koller and Mason Blachly had scores of 24.
The Continental Competition was led by Tracy Hanger’s perfect 25, Ollie Severs shot a 24 and Steve Brown, Brian Bingman, Kenny Bott, Larry Bunch and Buck Geiger all had scores of 23. Ollie Severs and Travis Ledgerwood had scores of 47X50 in the Doubles competition and Tracy Hanger posted a 45 for the top scores on the day in that event.
After three weeks the Junior shooters are in 6th place in the 24 Club competition and the Adult Club is in a tie for 9th place. Shooting once again will start next Saturday at 8:00 AM for Youth and on Sunday at 9:00 AM for Adults.
