๐น 20 YEARS OF CONCRETE. MORE THAN 30 YEARS OF POLSON SKATE HISTORY.
What a day.
Yesterday we celebrated the 20th anniversary of Polson's 7th Ave concrete skatepark, and seeing the park full of skaters, families, friends, and community members was an incredible reminder of how deep skateboarding's roots run in Polson.
Because this story didn't begin in 2006.
It goes back to 1995, when local skaters turned an old foundation on the corner of 7th and 7th into their own place to skate. They swept the concrete, built homemade ramps, and created something themselves because they wanted a place to ride. A professional skate demo that summer helped ignite something bigger, and by 1996 skaters were gathering there regularly with ramps from around town. The Polson Skate Jam grew out of that early scene and became a tradition that continued year after year.
Eventually that DIY park gave way to something permanent. The community rallied behind its skaters, and in 2006 the concrete park we skate today became the next chapter of that story.
Yesterday, 20 years later, that concrete was still full of wheels.
We saw incredible skating, first-time competitors, longtime locals, younger kids pushing themselves, big tricks, and people simply having a great time together.
A huge THANK YOU to all of our sponsors who made this year's Skate Jam possible. Your donations, prizes, resources, and continued support help keep this tradition alive...

Thank you to everyone who organized, volunteered, helped behind the scenes, brought their families, cheered on the skaters, shared our posts and came down to spend the day with us.
And most importantly, thank you to the skaters. ๐น
From the people who helped create Polson's skate scene decades ago to the kids discovering the park today, you are the reason this tradition continues.
Here is a batch of yesterday's photos! Find yourself, tag your friends, tag the skaters you recognize, and share your favorites! ๐ธ
