Hello members!

Recently we've had some of the plates on the Bay 3 action pistol plate rack break! Though this is an expected wear item that needs replacing from time to time, we can also accelerate that wear.

Please do not shoot the plate racks with sh****ns. Even a light birdshot load produces many times the energy of a handgun round. Let alone a high velocity hunting or buckshot load.

500 Meter Match

Not Pair Match, I cannot get electronics to work correctly.

The 500 meter match will be held 17 OCT 2026. Sign in begins at 8:00 am. Match will begin at 9:00. First relay is unlimited sighters with 10 shots for score. Second and third relay is 2 sighters and 10 shots for score. Bring extra ammo in case of a tie. Match fee is $20.00.

THERE WILL BE 3 RELAYS.

Time to ring some steel!

We’ll have four stages of pure steel waiting for you. Bring what you shoot — just remember, anything bigger than a .22 needs to come out of an OWB holster.

Five magazines is the smart move. Three will probably get you through it, but apparently some of y’all enjoy adding unnecessary stress to your lives.

$20 for your first gun
$10 for each additional gun
First-time shooters shoot FREE!

Never shot Steel Challenge before? Come on out. We’ll get you pointed in the right direction. You don’t have to be fast — that’s why we have timers to publicly document your disappointment.

SETUP – FRIDAY, OCTOBER 2nd AT 10:00 AM

I could definitely use some help getting everything set up Friday morning. If you’re available, come lend a hand. More people = less work, and I am a strong supporter of less work.

Saturday morning we start shooting at 8:30 AM sharp so check in by 8 am.

New shooters welcome.
Experienced shooters welcome.
Old shooters (like me) still tolerated.

Bring your gun, ammo, magazines, and your best excuses.

Lets take a moment and Congratulate one of our members, Sean Hynds, for bringing home a Divisional Championship for BUG at IDPA Nationals this past weekend. Sean won with over a 20+ second gap crowing him a bump from EX to DM. Great shooting Sean!

Annual meeting is Saturday September 26th a Noon at the Range Club House. The purpose of this meeting is to elect officers and board of director positions that will be vacant in the next calendar year. Membership dues are required to be paid on time if you want to vote.

Due to meeting and match director conflicts the Piney Woods Practical Shooters USPSA September match is cancelled, However the October match will be on Halloween and you will be in for a big “treat”

Angelina R***e & Pistol Club Steel Challenge — Saturday, September 5, 2026

Come out and ring some steel. Four stage match.

New shooters are welcome. First match with us is FREE. Everybody else: $20 first gun, $10 each extra gun.

Shooter meeting / safety brief: 8:15 AM
First shots: 8:30 AM

Stages are listed in the registration box. All SCSA divisions welcome. Bring eyes, ears, and enough ammo — plan on about 150 rounds to be comfortable, 200 if you want extra for makeups. Three magazines is recommended so you can shoot strings without stopping to reload. Centerfire starts from the holster; rimfire and PCC from low ready.

Hammer down will be at 9 AM, be paid and checked in by 8:45 AM. Cash only at check in. We will have 4 unique, fun, and challenging stages and two USPSA classifiers for this match. A total of 6 stages. An USPSA membership and number will be needed if you are looking to become classified in USPSA.

Priority goes to registered competitors. Walk ons will be accommodated only if spots are available. ARPC member pricing is $25. Non member pricing is $30. You will need: Pistol (9mm caliber minimum), holster attached to a belt, and enough magazines to complete a 32 round stage plus possible extra make up shots. 150 rounds suggested, you will always have plenty of extra if you bring 200 rounds.

USPSA membership and number is not required for participation. If you are a new shooter and never shot an action shooting match then your match fee is free!
