6 at the Springs

6 at the Springs 6 hr. 4 mile loop on Waterbrook House Trail in Poland, ME. June 20th 2026. Thank you for everyone who has made the last 2 years so succesful!! One loop. Two loops.

Along the sleepy Route 26 in Western Maine, there lies a place that is world renowned for its magical healing waters. Over the course of 200 years, a small village has grown into a thriving community where the people are just as magical as the water under their feet. This is the town of Poland, Maine. Trail Legs Run Coach and Poland Parks & Rec. invite you to 6 at the Springs, a celebration of Pol

and’s unique small businesses and trails through a running event. Competitors will tour the historically registered rail trail from the mouth of Lower Range Pond to a turnaround in Mechanic Falls before returning to the start line. This flat 4 mile loop will excite the speedster and the casual hiker alike as it passes multiple watersheds and possibly the most scenic beaver pond ever created along a wide, hard-packed trail. As a timed event we will give recognition for all mileage earned. Ten loops. The choice is yours and we hope you come ready to challenge yourself! This course is friendly for both the experienced and new runner/walker of all ages. And when you’re done, enjoy all the amazing products that our local businesses and sponsors offer. 2nd place Katy Kelly- 8 laps (36 mi)
3rd place Ying Tao- 8 laps (36 mi)

1st place Mike Conley- 11 laps (44 mi) Mike set the new male course record and tied overall mileage
2nd place David Herr- 8 laps (36 mi)

When Maplewood’s owner Wade (also a veteran 🇺🇸) told us he wanted to donate a bottle for every runner we said “Sir… that’s TOO much.” But he insisted anyway and we’re so grateful he did!!❤️

Also congrats to Poland Animal Hospital🐶🐱 own Terina for winning our mileage guessing contest! Her guess of 2222 miles was just half a lap short of the 2224 put up by you amazing runners. PAH also happens to be an event sponsor and the preferred vet for our mascot Benji.

Thank you again for being part of our community event with a trail race included in Poland! Results will be posted Wednesday morning.

In the meantime, let’s have some more fun. Can you guess the total miles run by all competitors in all divisions on Saturday? It was our biggest year yet so this will be our biggest mileage so far!

Closest without going over wins a three pack of car washes from our good friends Soak'd Auto Spa on Maine Street in Poland! Much like a trail runner after 6 hours, your car also deserves a shower.

Did we forget to give our podium finishers their big lanyard chips? Yes. Did we forget bread for peanut butter sandwiches. Yes. And did we forget to leave cups at the turn around aid station on lap 1? Also yes.

Are you a runner who forgot their organization branded Nalgene bottle or Nathan handheld flask? We have those too. See! We all forget stuff. 😂

We have not forgotten to upload results. In timed events, it takes, well, time, to get them in order. And if you see anything off in the app results, please let us know so we can get it fixed for you. We appreciate all feedback on the chip timing.

Without our runners there wouldn’t be an event in the first place!! 🙏 Huge shoutout to Rae-Anne Nguyen, and Carole J. Brocher for all of your help!! And a super huge shoutout to Stacey Surprenant Bsullak and John Bsullak, not only for absolutely rocking the aid station, but for all the help with planning and coordination leading up to the race.
