Saturday June 11 the course will be CLOSED from Noon to 4 to casual play for a church run disc golf event. They will be running an Ace Race for the NorthRidge Men’s Ministry Summer kickoff. Monday, Memorial Day will be the inaugural NorthRidge Open. There are only 4 open spots left! Go to https://www.discgolfscene.com/tournaments/NorthRidge_Open_2019 to register before it’s full.

NorthRidge Open is a disc golf tournament at NorthRidge Church in Plymouth, MI, beginning on May 27, 2019 and hosted by Huron Valley.

Added a temp triple mando on hole 7. You don’t need to play it as a mando if you don’t want to, made more for league/tournament play not casual. However, if you DO want to play it the PVC pipes are located on the left side of the clearing, best way is to set it up after playing hole 5 them proceed to 6 and 7. It CANNOT remain up at the moment so please take it back down when you play 7 and return the pipes to the left side of the clearing. There will be a walkway built eventually but for now you’ll most likely to get your feet a bit wet LOL Have fun!

Just a few more small things to take care of, but the new course layout has been completed and ready to play! New Hole 7 will eventually be a Winthrop Gold like triple Mando, for now just play the clearing through the tall reeds. Here’s the map...

Major changes done to the course yesterday, final layout is completed but still some additional work to do. Layout is as followed: Hole 1 pin will return to its original position on the West side of the church, behind and to the left of current 9’s teepad, on the backside of the large mounds of dirt. Long tee at 375’, short 330’. The tees are located on the sidewalk near the No Thru Traffic sign (flags are posted) playing over or around the hill. Current 9 will then be Hole 2 (no changes) with the course continuing clockwise around the church. Hole 3 basket has been moved to the right behind the large pine tree and a long tee has been added. Long at 282’, short at 177’. 4 unchanged. Short tee has been added to hole 5 at 425’. Hole 6 (over the ‘swamp’) basket has been moved back and to the right, short tee has been added at the corner water edge. Long at 385’, short at 295’. Hole 7 is a brand new hole, tee to the left and forward of 6 basket. Fairway plays back towards Ridge Rd, basket on the other side of the tall reeds at 255’. For now play is over or around the reeds, but eventually will be a triple Mando wall to play through. Long tee has been added to Hole 8 at 350’. Hole 9 (left of basketball net) unchanged. The 2 holes in the woods no longer exist. Hole 10 (mando left of tree) unchanged. Hole 11 basket has been moved to the right and back, long tee now 250’, short 210’. Hole 12 was moved to the left and back making either a long tunnel shot or high hyzer. Long tee 277’, short 229’. Hole 13 unchanged. Short tee has been added to hole 14 up and to the left of long tee, basket moved back into the wooded area. Long tee 425’, short 285’. Hole 15 and 16 unchanged. Hole 17 is now an elevated basket. Hole 18 will, by next Tuesday, have a short tee at approximately 255’. Hey all! Spring is coming up quickly, getting ready to start up our Tuesday night sanctioned Leagues! We will actually be running 2 separate leagues simultaneously, MPO-MA2 and MA3-MA4. This is also the 1st year we have been involved with the MDGO and awarded a berth to the State Championships. Starting date of the leagues will be announced at the end of February... stay tuned.

In the next few months, for you winter throwers, the course will be experiencing another update due to the Church selling some property. Holes that will be affected will be the loss of the new 16 and 17, and possibly 18. We are currently discussing locations for new fairways.

The new course layout is finally finished (for now 😂), new signs are up with the fairways renumbered. Scorecards with a course map will be available in s couple weeks, hopefully I’ll have a box at hole 1 with them along with pencils. Until then, here is the map of the new layout.

Got the OK yesterday for a fairway location to replace hole 10 so work will begin asap. I’ll keep you updated on the progress.

On a side note: I don’t usually post “course unrelated” things here, but had a beautiful OOP Innova Double Circle Stamp Pegasus as a CTP last night at Leagues that was won by Nate Davis on one of the new holes with an awesome drive!

FYI: A part of the resolution of the dog incident a couple weeks ago is that we will no longer be able to use the Hole 10 location. Process is under way to add another fairway to replace it as soon as possible. Updates when I know more.
