Plymouth Racing Wall of Fame Class of 2024 Inductee Spotlight

MCMULLEN RACING FAMILY – Featuring three generations of racers, Jerry forged the way for the McMullen family as a competitor in the early days of racing competition at Plymouth. Tim was a top competitor in the EWSC Winged Super Modified division from 1993 through the mid-2000s. Tim’s son, Brandon, was a force in the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing 360 Sprint Car division in recent years. Competing for 14 seasons from 2010 through 2023, Brandon earned three track titles in 2017, 2020 and 2023, while claiming a division record 33 PDTR 360 Sprint Car A-main victories. Brandon also claimed five MSA 360 Sprint Car titles in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2020 and 2023.

This year's Plymouth Racing Wall of Fame Induction Night event will feature the induction of eight drivers, three track workers and one racing family during intermission during the Plymouth Dirt Track Racing program at the Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth on Saturday, July 13.

In addition, a meet-and-greet session with the inductees will take place under the grandstand starting at 4:30 p.m.

The Plymouth Racing Wall of Fame Class of 2024 Induction event is made possible through the generous support of Goeden Auto Body of Kewaskum, Meyer Motors of Plymouth, Dairy Queen of Plymouth, L R Trophy and Sportswear of Kewaskum and Culver's of Plymouth.

To the best fans, friends, and sponsors in the world: Thank You

After competing in the 360 sprint car division over the past 14 years it is time for the team to step away from racing. Going into the 2023 season, we made a goal to win the both MSA and PDTR Championships and that if we would achieve that then the 2023 season would be our last in the 360 division. There’s no better way to go out after achieving the year we did.

We have been fortunate to have great people behind us not only in the years of Brandon in the sprint car but also Tim in the modified. There are a few sponsors that were part of the team for both of them and without the contribution of every sponsor we’ve had we would not have had the results that we did. Most of the pit crew has been around as long as Brandon and Joe have been alive. That type of dedication is tough to find. Thank you to Mia, Jami, Kris, Brian S, Brian V, Joe H, Dennis, Brek, Kyle, JZ, Ross, Pam, Sofie, Bob-o, and Brian T for their past help at the shop and the track.

A big thanks goes to all of you for supporting us. Without you, we wouldn’t have been able to chase our dreams and make all of the memories and relationships that we did. Sometimes, it can be forgotten that without fans, we don’t have a sport/hobby. Thank you for attending our brat frys, buying apparel, or just cheering in the stands. We really do appreciate it.

There have been many sacrifices made and things missed over the years - weddings, funerals, trips, etc. Now’s the time to try other things and see what else life has to offer. We hope to see you all again at Plymouth on July 13th! 🏁🏁

The Hopf Farms logo has proudly been displayed on our car since 2016 when Dean and Stacy became part of our team and racing family. They have been a huge supporter for not only our team but local racing as well. At the end of last Summer, Stacy was diagnosed with Chronic Myeloid Leukemia which is a rare form of blood cancer. Thanks to new breakthroughs in medicine, she will need to manage her condition with medication. To help raise money and spread awareness of this type of cancer, there will be “Unleash The Bull On Cancer” shirts being made along with a cancer awareness rubber bracelet. Last night wrapped up the 2023 season with the MSA banquet. We were able to receive the 100% attendance award, the Hard Charger award for passing the most cars, and the 2023 MSA Championship trophy. Perhaps most meaningful though, was when Joe was awarded the Harry Neitzel Mechanic of the Year award given who the award is named after and the dedication Joe has provided our team. It was great to have our crew and family in attendance to enjoy the evening together and to see the other race teams. Thank you to the MSA for putting on a great event and the great year of racing. Also thank you to those who sponsored the awards and contingency packages. Stay tuned for a video that our crew member Kris put together to recap the season and show what happened behind the scenes.

A little late to the party but this is Brandon here. Now that we have had time to catch up on some stuff and let it sink in…. We are officially the 2023 Midwest Sprint Car Association Champions and 2023 Plymouth Dirt Track Racing Champions!! This brings our team to nine Championships with the sprint car (5x MSA, 3x PDTR, 1x EWSC) and ten Championships when including my Dad’s (Tim) Championship in the winged super modified. What a year it was and what a battle for the points as the season came to a close. I’m proud of our team for how we stayed focused on the task at hand and remained consistent with our approach. This was a total team effort and with how well the car performed/handled the pit crew really deserves the most credit. Thank you to my Dad, Joe, Mia, Jami, Kris, Brian S, Brian V, Joe H, Dennis, Brek, Kyle, JZ, Ross, and Pam for their dedication in the shop and help at the track. Also thank you to all of our family, friends, and the fans for their help and support this year. We wouldn’t be racing without the people attending our brat fry or watching each weekend and I hope that we put on some good racing to enjoy. Thank you to all of the businesses and individuals who helped us keep our car on the track and allowed us to race. Some of our sponsors had been supporting my Dad in the winged modified over 20 years ago and we’re so appreciative of those relationships. The 2023 season was one to remember as we put up some incredible results this year. I wanted to share a few statistics to summarize our season. We hope you all have a good offseason!

-Scored 2110 out of a total 2248 points possible on the year which was 93.86% of total and averaged out to 87.92 points per night out of 93.67 possible each night (some nights had no qualifying)
-We finished on the podium in 22 out of 24 feature races
- Scored 7 feature wins, 9 heat wins, and 7 group qualifying quick times with 5 of those being the fastest overall that night
-We averaged a 2.42 feature finish, a 1.92 heat race finish, and a 2.23 qualifying finish (average car count was 23.4)
-We also passed the most cars overall (121 combined total)
