Excellence on the ice and in the classroom đ
HUGE congratulations to our very own, Morgan Cunningham , on being named a College Sports Communicators (CSC) Womenâs At-Large Academic All-District honoree!
The Elementary Education and Youth Development major capped off an outstanding career by making a lasting impact both within our program and throughout the campus community. Along the way, she earned numerous accolades, including the Panther Award, Norma Wilkinson Award, and recognition as a Top 20 Senior.
This past season, the graduating senior continued to lead by example in every aspect of student-athlete life. Morgan organized our Morganâs Message Game, played a key role in SF22 initiatives, worked as a local student teacher, and remained an invaluable member of our team. Her impact extended far beyond the classroom and community, as she also played a major role in our historic conference championship season, including scoring two goals in the semifinal victory over Anna Maria. Her leadership, dedication, and commitment to those around her helped shape the culture of our program and will leave a lasting legacy.
Morgan will now continue her academic journey at Boston University where she will pursue a Master of Education in Applied Human Development with a concentration in Mental Performance, and we canât wait to see all that she accomplishes next.
To be eligible for Academic All-District recognition, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher. In ice hockey, nominees must compete in 90% of their institutionâs games or start at least 66% of them.
Congratulations, Mo, on this well-deserved honor. Your success is a reflection of the passion, leadership, and dedication youâve demonstrated throughout your career!
