Happy Birthday, Cooz! 🎉💚

We hope you have an amazing day and get the chance to celebrate with family, friends, and those close to you!

On the ice, you have been such an important part of our forward group all season long. Your ability to combine a threatening shot with both power and accuracy makes you a constant offensive threat every time you step on the ice. Whether you’re creating scoring chances, winning key faceoffs, or providing energy throughout the lineup, your impact on our team is impossible to overlook. Your versatility has been one of your greatest strengths this year, as you have seamlessly played both center and wing while contributing in a variety of roles up and down the lineup. No matter where you are needed, you embrace the challenge and find ways to help our team succeed.
One accomplishment that especially stands out was your LEC Rookie of the Week recognition after scoring two game-winning goals during the opening weekend of conference play. Since then, you have continued to build on that success, finishing the season tied for second on the team with six goals while winning an impressive 55% of your faceoffs. Your ability to produce offensively while also handling responsibilities in all areas of the ice demonstrates just how valuable you are to our program.

Off the ice, you are just as impactful as you are on it. You are a great teammate who cares about the success of those around you and always wants to see the group continue to grow. Your commitment to being your best every day is evident in everything you do, and you never settle for less than your full potential. That mindset, combined with your positive attitude and willingness to support your teammates, has made a tremendous impact on our team culture and helped push our group forward throughout the season.

In the classroom, you have done a great job balancing the demands of collegiate athletics while pursuing a degree in Exercise and Sports Physiology, which is no easy feat.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished so far and cannot wait to continue watching you succeed in the years ahead. We hope you have an amazing birthday, Cooz! 💚🐾

Congratulations to Morgan Cunningham on being recognized by Plymouth State University as this year’s recipient of the Norma Wilkinson Award! Morgan was also honored as a Top 20 Senior prior to graduation, one of the university’s highest student recognitions.

Plymouth State University describes the Norma Wilkinson Award as recognizing a student who has made a “monumental impact on an organization through their leadership.” Morgan has exemplified that standard through her excellence not only in athletics, but also in academics, campus involvement, leadership, and service to the greater Plymouth community.

Named after Norma Wilkinson, a pioneer in the development of physical education and student leadership at Plymouth State, the award reflects the university’s values of service, character, mentorship, and community impact.

Being named a Top 20 Senior is another significant honor at Plymouth State University. Students are selected by faculty and staff based on academic achievement, campus involvement, community service, leadership, character, and writing skills. The recognition celebrates seniors who have made a lasting impact on the university community.

A dual-sport athlete in women’s ice hockey and women’s lacrosse, Morgan has consistently demonstrated excellence both on and off the field, but it is her impact on others that truly defines her legacy. From welcoming first-year students and new teammates, to leading our Morgan’s Message game and supporting mental health initiatives, Morgan has always led with compassion, selflessness, and purpose. Her service as a Pemi Ambassador, work as an elementary school teacher, and support of veteran mental health initiatives further reflect the meaningful difference she continues to make in the lives of others. Morgan’s leadership and commitment to serving those around her also earned her recognition as the recipient of the Van Hartman Vernon Kelly Award in the spring of 2025.

Plymouth State Women’s Hockey is proud to celebrate all that Morgan has accomplished and the incredible example she sets for our program, our university, and our community.

Congratulations, Morgan!

Happy Belated Birthday, Dicer! 🎉💚

Hope you had an amazing day and got the chance to celebrate and enjoy it with the people around you!

On the ice, you have been such a reliable presence for our team all season long. As a two-way defenseman, you bring the perfect balance of offensive skill, physicality, and strength to our back end. Your smooth puck-moving ability and confidence with the puck have elevated our defensive core, while your toughness and decisive play allow us to match up against other teams’ top lines with confidence. Playing in every situation this year, you have proven to be an incredibly valuable part of our team, and we are so thankful to have you.

One moment that especially stands out was your Rookie of the Week recognition after an unforgettable performance during our annual Teddy Bear Toss game against Salve. Recording both a goal and an assist, including the game-winning goal with less than 30 seconds remaining showed your ability to step up in huge moments. That same weekend, your shot blocking and defensive effort against Curry once again demonstrated your toughness and willingness to do whatever it takes for the team.

Off the ice, you are just as impactful. You bring energy, charisma, kindness, and positivity to everyone around you, and your presence has truly elevated the culture of our team. People naturally enjoy being around you because you make others feel valued, included, and heard - a quality that reflects strong leadership and genuine care for your teammates. You consistently create a positive environment and make our team better every single day.

In the classroom, you have excelled as a Chemistry major while setting an incredible example of what it means to be a true student-athlete. Balancing the demands of academics while competing in not just one, but two NCAA sports through hockey and softball is an amazing accomplishment. Your discipline, work ethic, and ability to succeed at such a high level is truly impressive.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve accomplished so far and cannot wait to continue watching you continue to succeed. We hope you enjoyed your day, Claire! 💚🐾
