"The Birth of NUFC MN:
It started in summer of 1999 when the lads suggested that we form a 'real' team and take part in tournaments. Our first tournament was in Rochester, Minnesota, about one and half hour drive from Minneapolis. The team played two games in round robin drawing 1-1 in first game and losing the second 2-4. The club failed to garner enough points to advance to the next round but ca

me away with a valuable experience. The team wasn't a championship-winning caliber then, but with the same dedication and commitment by the players from that season, the team was on its way to becoming a serious contender for championship in the area and now is nationally reputed team within the Nepalese/International Community. Nepal United Football Club of Minnesota would like to thank all its fans and supporters and most importantly the players for their effort and dedication to the club. With such commitment, we know that we can look forward to a continued success in coming seasons."
