Rod bearing on cylinder #4.

Ended our weekend with ChampCar Endurance Series early after about 7 hours of racing. Packed up, hauled the car home after that to pull the motor and see if it could be fixed. Unfortunately it’s going to need a little more than a quick bearing replace.

Last minute driver opening for this weekends ChampCar 8+7 hr enduro at Road America. Road race or track day experience at a minimum, and must have own safety gear. DM me for additional info.

Race season is almost here.

In a field of 79 cars taking the green we managed a 12th overall after 16 long hours of racing through beautiful sun on Saturday to down pouring rain on Sunday. Car survived without incident, well except those couple off track excursions.

2 transmissions, 2 rear differentials, a loose front end, and a leaky front crank seal and with the help of Andy Jaekels, Brandon Steinhauer, and Werner Kordas we managed to pull a 10th overall, 2nd in class on Saturday, and a 19th overall, 1st in class on Sunday.

Well only took 45 minutes from the time the jack went under the car until the transmission was laying next to the car.

Well, The Chumpionship at Road America is less than a week away... What a better way to spend a friday night than replacing a 5 speed transmission that has no 4th gear.
