We are celebrating our S E V E N T H anniversary this month! How is that possible?! What even is time?! 😵‍💫

What a ride it has been! This incredible community has changed our lives in ways we never could’ve fathomed were possible. 7 years of sweating, laughing, crying, working hard, learning to relax, breathing, connecting, strengthening, living and loving together in Hot Yoga 1620, and 2 years in Cedarville Strength! 🔥 Every single person who has ever passed through these doors has brought value to our lives, and we couldn’t be more grateful to do this life with you all.

So we shall celebrate with a Dance Party 💃🏻🪩🕺

Yup! This year’s anniversary soirée will be a School Dance Party like none other. Dress in your favorite school dance era garb and we will get down in the way only we can; like absolutely no one is watching (is there any other way?) 😜

Expect throwback jams, Pilate playlist faves, the cotton eye joe, yearbook superlative awards, food truck pizza artistry from the incomparable , photos by and MC’ing by the gorgeous . So join us at the Crosswinds Golf Club on Saturday 4/25 from 4-8pm! Whether you’ve come once, a billion times, or just need to come dance with your friends, you are invited. Tickets are $50, link in bio!

All proceeds raised above cost are going towards our newly formed Tracy Fund ❤️ One of our early students, Tracy Cavallo was the first (of several to follow) to put her love for this community into action by paying forward months of membership so that others could join us, whether they had the means or not. Now a community Angel 😇 we are honored to keep her generous spirit alive in the form of this fund. Available to be appealed to in times of hardship, now more then ever the world needs these practices, community, and connection. Come boogie for a good cause!

The month of March was chock full of Madness competitors 🍀 Wintering recharging ❄️🔌 and celebration of our lovely student of the month: Miss March !

This ray of sunshine appeared in early 2022 as a Pilates gal and quickly became a regular. A beloved friend to many, Lori went on to become a founding OG member of the dumbbell slinging Baddie crew when opened, and now has expanded her horizons even further with her weekly 26&2 practice. Her evolution has been incredible, both physically AND mindset-edly. Even more impressive than her now bulging biceps is the size and depth of her beautiful heart and bottomless compassion. An almost daily fixture here, her superpower is Noticing. And if you have a birthday in her vicinity you’ll be gifted a recitation of a handcrafted personalized poem in your honor. Combine all that with her perfectly timed Whoopsies and you have a most ridiculously delightful human. Loving you is as easy as Sunday morning, Lori Marini!

What brought you to Hot Yoga 1620?

I honestly don’t even remember how I first discovered Hot Yoga 1620, but I’m convinced it found me exactly when I needed it. Sometimes life just nudges you in the right direction. This place has transformed me — body, mind, and spirit — and now I’m completely hooked (in the best way).

What’s your favorite posture/movement?

I do Hot Pilates, Morning Muscle and 26&2, anything with dumbbells is my favorite — especially goblet squats. I also love the cardio bursts between sets (I know, not everyone agrees!), but I love the energy.

What sets you soul on fire? 

What sets my soul on fire? This community. 1620/Cedarville has become part of my everyday life — my routine, my joy, my reset. I’ve built strength, inside and out, and formed friendships so special I can’t wait to show up each morning. They start my day on the right track every single time. I’m forever grateful to Grace and Dan for creating this space. I’m lucky in all aspects of my life — lifelong friends, an amazing husband who says I disappear before sunrise (sorry, early classes) and a son who makes me proud beyond words ❤️

This video was made months ago. Waited for the right time: when the website was updated, the email went out, the policy upgrades…etc etc.

But the right time is Now. It is always Now.

We’re in a wild time. Humanity is waking up, old systems are collapsing, the facade of what felt real is burning to the ground.

It is easy to let fear of the unknown road ahead immobilize you.

This isn’t a time to watch. It’s a time to build. The new ways that replace the old. The new community based thinking and systems that will carry us and our children forward.

It’s time to get strong. It’s time to get grounded. It’s time to remember who you are and what we’re alive for. It takes a mindset shift to truly love yourself. It’s a practice, and the greatest work of your life. The work that will be the foundation of your greatest impact in this life.

Movement is medicine. Becoming strong is medicine. Meditation, breath work, self reflection is medicine. Community is medicine.

Absolutely unstoppable is this badass of a lady! We are stoked to celebrate Miss December, our very own Katie McEachern! ✨❤️💪🏼

When Katie began her HY1620 journey 2.5 years ago, she came in hot as a Pilates maven. As an independent artist and surface pattern designer by day, she’d slide in most night classes and quickly expanded her horizons with Breathwork & Meditation, Yin, Kettlebells and Women’s Circles. Not one to shy away from the hard Inner Work that many avoid, she’s down for all the consciousness expanding experiences and conversations, becoming a beloved community member that’s recognized in any class she’s in. A supportive gym fan from the beginning you can now find her most days at pumping serious iron ((and it shows 🔥💪🏼)) Over 400 classes deep, we couldn’t be more proud or inspired by the beautiful being that is Katie Mac ❤️

What brought you to Hot Yoga 1620?

Three years ago, a neighbor convinced me to try Hot Yoga 1620. I started with Pilates, but quickly discovered so much more: strength classes, yin and relaxed flow yoga, meditation, breathwork, women’s circles, and an amazing community.

What’s your favorite movement/posture?

Right now my favorite movement is the kettlebell sn**ch, and my favorite posture is reclined butterfly 🦋

What sets your soul on fire?

Nature and creativity are what light me up. Time outside helps me breathe deeper and see the world more clearly, and creating art lets me express what I find there. Strength training at 1620 also lights me up in its own way. It’s helped me grow into someone who feels more consistent, disciplined, and grounded in how I show up for myself. ♥️

Closing out November with Student of the Month love and appreciation, for the one and only Mr. November, Parker Coady! 💕

An absolute force in the hot room in Pilates or 26&2, or at absolute ease when it’s calm and cool in Relaxed Flow or a sound bath, or bravely cold plunging after a sauna sesh, he’s a renaissance man that appreciates the nuance and importance of the full spectrum of life’s experiences. Always a beacon of light and warmth, we couldn’t be happier you choose this community to shine in Parker! You are so very loved! ❤️

What brought you to Hot Yoga 1620?

-I was marathon training back in 2022 and was seeking not only cross training, I also wanted to acclimate to the heat in case marathon Monday fell on a hot day. Not only did I fall in love with everything the studio had to offer with class selection. I fell in love with the community that came with it.

What is your favorite movement/posture?

-I’m a cardio ju**ie at heart and have a love hate relationship with burpees and mountain climbers! For posture you can find me floating away on a supported bolster 😂

What sets your soul on fire?

- Movement. Movement with loved ones and within community. Whether it be a running group/club, a slow yoga flow/sound bath, a hike or hitting my wall, sweating it out in a packed 1620 Pilates class. Sharing wellness in groups has improved my life in ways that just aren’t measurable. My adult children and I bond through it, 1620 classes with Leila and beach runs with Sam. I’ve met some truly amazing motivating and positive people, it’s brought me closer to family and friends than I ever imagined possible, and it brings me balance and centering in this crazy world. I recommend community based movement to anyone I cross paths with that’s hit a rough patch in life as I’m pretty sure it’s saved mine. Just showing up and moving with all of you sets my soul on fire, see you on the mats!! ❤️
