THE BIG HITTERS

In 1997, a group of 10 good friends decided to get together to play a little golf. Off they went to Devil's Head Golf Resort in Baraboo, Wisconsin and little did they know the tradition they would start. Four rounds of golf, five-six cases of beer, a couple dozen lost golf balls, a HOLE IN ONE and 1 million references to the Dalai Lama from Caddyshack - and the Big Hitters Golf Ou

ting was born (Big Hitter the Lama was..........). Since then the Big Hitters Outing has had up to 36 players in a single year, moved the tournament to Gull Lake Golf Resort in Augusta, Michigan and developed the weekend into a full-fledged golf tournament. Our tournament includes three handicapped tournament rounds, a four man scramble and a two man alternate shot scramble. Most importantly, every round is played on a different course!! 90 holes of golf without ever playing the same hole twice! The coveted prizes for the weekend include the winners Plaid Jacket, the Crystal Big Hitters Trophy and the Golden Hacker Award. Do you like golf........ Do you like beer........ Do you like BBQ........

Well, can you believe that we're only 37 days out from the start of Big Hitters 2026, our 30th year!


37 days away! 1 Opening!!!

It seems like we've almost filled the complete roster for this year, but there is one opening. Bring your neighbor, your coworker, your brother-in-law, the guy you met at the course last weekend, the guy who was passed out next to the soda machine, your father-in-law, your son's slightly odd friend... You know, that guy that shoots 115, that you know, even Dunton might beat.....
We're also looking for any changes you might have. The lost weight, the gained weight, and the resizing of your head that might require us to look at some really large caps. Let us know.
We'll be reaching out soon to remind those who haven't gotten their deposit in to do it immediately. Swan Lake likes to get everything situated, unlike my retirement plans. Might as well do it now, no need to drag it out.
