Plymouth 11U Walk-Off In Nail-Biter Against Hype 11u-Royal

It came down to the wire on Saturday, as Plymouth 11U grabbed the victory in walk-off fashion, 9-8, over Hype 11u-Royal. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the fifth when Whispen D singled, scoring one run.
Hype 11u-Royal got on the board in the top of the first inning after Declan T doubled, scoring one run, and Quinn H singled, scoring two runs.
Plymouth 11U tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a passed ball, an error, and a double by Brady B.
Hype 11u-Royal jumped back into the lead in the top of the second inning after Koleman M walked, Benjamin R singled to center field, and Gavin S singled to center field, each scoring one run.
A single by Joseph F extended the Hype 11u-Royal lead to 7-5 in the top of the third inning.
Plymouth 11U captured the lead, 9-8, in the bottom of the fifth after Blake J singled to right field, and Whispen singled to left field, each scoring one run.
Whispen began the game for Plymouth 11U. The righty surrendered four hits and three runs (two earned) over one inning, striking out one and walking one. Koleman stepped on the bump first for Hype 11u-Royal. The hurler gave up three hits and six runs (one earned) over three innings, striking out seven and walking one. Callahan B and Luke S each appeared in relief for Plymouth 11U.
Blake drove the middle of the lineup, leading Plymouth 11U with two runs batted in. The catcher went 1-for-3 on the day. Brady and William B each collected two hits for Plymouth 11U. Plymouth 11U stole seven bases in the game. Plymouth 11U turned one double play in the game.
Gavin provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Hype 11u-Royal with two runs batted in. The number three hitter went 3-for-3 on the day. Joseph collected two hits for Hype 11u-Royal in two at bats. Hype 11u-Royal had a strong eye at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.
