Polish Pride meets Faygo!! Who’s down with the clown?

WARREN, MI — For decades, Warren’s Polish Day Parade has celebrated the city’s heritage by crowning a traditional Polish Princess, but this Saturday, history will be made as the city names its first-ever Juggalette Polish Princess, blending Polish roots with Metro Detroit’s famed Juggalo culture; parade chair Debbie K. said, “It’s long overdue — Warren is where polka meets Faygo,” while one resident cheered, “This is the type of leadership we need in Warren,” and another local, grilling brats from the back of his minivan, admitted, “I thought I’d seen everything at this parade, but a polka to ICP songs in clown paint? This city just leveled up.” The winner will receive a pierogi-shaped tiara, a kielbasa scepter, and an honorary Faygo cooler, with coronation set for Warren City Square following the pierogi-eating contest, and closing out with a 21-bottle Faygo salute and a live accordion-led ICP polka rendition of Chicken Huntin’.

Can’t wait to re-rack em’ and go again at Road America!!

We continued our bet with the Polka Kings. The bet was for a Nug valve cover or Polka Kings car door that JR crashed a few years back. Winner is 2 of 3, fastest lap, least black flags, and most laps. Polka Kings finished 7 or 8 overall so they got us there. Mike squeaked out the fastest lap by a tenth of a second, that tied us. Black flags were earned by both and we had some agreement that you shouldn’t get one if a car crashes into you (they got ran into twice). Anyway, the bet ended in a tie for the second race in a row. No winners here, but it sure makes time on track more enjoyable while competing for 35th place.
