Hello golfers, tomorrow (Saturday, May 16th) we’ll be working on half of the tee boxes. We’ll be verti-cutting, aerating, spreading sand, and seeding to help improve them.

The course will remain open!
To give the new seed the best chance to establish, we kindly ask that you stay off the treated tee boxes while they recover, once those are ready, we’ll move on to the remaining tee boxes.

Golfers, just a quick course update! Today, our greens and collars were aerated with needle tines and a single verticut as part of our normal maintenance program to help keep them healthy, smooth, and in great shape for the season. These practices help the turf breathe, improve water movement, and encourage stronger, healthier grass.

You may notice the greens are a little bumpy or slower for a short time while they recover, but this is a normal and important part of keeping our greens in the best condition possible.

Thank you all for your patience and continued support as we look forward to a great season! One easy way everyone can help me is by repairing your ball marks on the greens (and any extra you may see). A properly repaired ball mark heals much faster and helps keep our putting surfaces smooth and healthy for everyone.

While this hot summer weather holds, we are allowing carts on the course for members to play the temporary pins. Please stay off the actual greens and out of the low-lying wet spots. The course is open to members only at this time until the greens open the first week of May. Thanks and happy golfing!

The greens are still waking up from their winter slumber, so we are not allowing play on them for a few weeks yet. However, we do have temporary pins set up in the fairways for members that are itching to get out there, but the course is walking only as it's still a bit soggy from the winter run off. We will keep you updated as to when carts will be permitted on the course. Also, the Teebox is open limited hours right now if people would like to pay their dues. The public can also use the driving range. Just be sure to hit off the mats for the time being. Thanks for your patience and fingers crossed for warmer weather! 🏌‍♂️⛳️

The Plentywood Golf Club annual meeting has been scheduled for this Sunday, April 12th at noon. Please bring any board member election ballots that have not already been turned in. We look forward to seeing all our members there!
