Why is strength Symmetry important?
While symmetry is aesthetically pleasing there is a more important reason for long term health and performance. When you have a big imbalance, certain muscles will work harder to overcompensate, which over time can lead to pain and injury in either side— and yes, even the stronger one. When working out single sided exercises work at the capacity of your weaker side so not to continue to add to the strength imbalance. So if you can only do 8 reps on the weak side and 12 on the stronger keep the rep scheme to 8 and at the same weight. Over a longer period this will close the imbalance and overall lead to better performance and a stronger body

EXCERCISING is cool! And doing something is better than nothing but eventually you should start tracking what you are doing? If you want to improve and progress you have to know where you are so you can see where you are going! we track what you are doing so we can see where you are trending, plateauing and make sure we see what’s improving based on your goals. Yes you will get a great burn but you will also become more capable

One excercise - Modified to fit your level

From beginners to experienced lifters the needs of people typically only varies in degrees. We al need to be able to squat/run/jump/pick things up/carry things/etc. the exercises, similarly don’t need to change that much either rather the intensity needs to be modified from beginners in the upper left or range of motion issues too right to performance and maintenance on the bottom. Whatever your Level you are welcome at SchuBox Athletics!
