We made the short trip to Bandera, Tx for the 2nd Annual Bandera Pioneer River Resort chamber of commerce BBQ Cookoff. It’s always a great time in the Cowboy Capital of the world!

It rained on/off all day but I’ll take that over 100+ degrees any day. I was a little worried about our pits but they ran smooth.

We were blessed to finish the day with

6th place pork
11th place Brisket 😭
18th place ribs
And the chicken..well it was stupid…😤
Landed us 16th overall out of 66 great teams. I’ll take it!

BIG Congratulations to our dear friend Richard Garcia Turn’d Up BBQ on his GC WIN!!🎉🎉

And Kickin’Ash BBQ on their RGC win!!

As always, BIG thank you to my logistics & fire man Ramsey Robles.

We’ll be back in the fall..or something like that. 🤷‍♀️

10 amazing teams will battle it out on Saturday in Austin!

Come by and see us if you’re in the area. We’ll be cooking beef tenderloin for people’s choice and beef Dino ribs for our judges!

Our 6 months cooking break came to an end as we ventured out to the RGV for Smokin' on the Rio BBQ Cook-Off in Mercedes. The valley has my heart and so many wonderful memories were made there as a kid so it was an easy decision. Even though I knew it would be a tough competition. Errrone knows the best of the best cook in the valley & almost 190 teams came to win!

At the end of the day I was ok with our results (except the 🐷)
