Rhythm School of Dance Rhythm School of Dance is the Dream of Puspita, a trained Kathak Dancer since the age 3.5.It’s home of dance lovers to learn & enhance the beauty of Kathak.

Pleasanton/Dublin , Fremont, Milpitas Kathak is one of the eight major forms of Indian classical dance. The origin of Kathak is traditionally attributed to the traveling birds in the of ancient northern India known as Kathakars or storytellers. The term Kathak is derived from the Vedic Sanskrit word Katha which means "story", and Kathakar which means "the one who tells a story". Kathak dancers tell various stories through their hand movements and extensive footwork, their body movements and flexibility but most importantly through the facial expressions. Puspita started her Kathak training at the age of 3.5 & still continuing under guidance of Guru Smt. Susmita Chatterjee, disciple of Late Pt. Birju Maharaj ji. She's also trained in Indian Ballet & Fusion forms of dance in addition. Puspita has also performed in numerous prestigious shows back in India & Bay Area for last 11 years. We encourage you all to come & explore the beauty of Kathak dance along with some other techniques !! Open to both Zoom / In-person

Child / Adult Classes are running currently in San Ramon/ Pleasanton.
