We are sad to let you know Coach Christian's father recently passed away due to COVID. Coach Christian has been a familiar face in Playa Vista for over 5 years and is much loved by our swimmers and parents. There is a Go Fund Me collecting donations to cover the post life expenses. Any donation is appreciated but more than anything the love and support from his Playa Vista family would greatly help during these difficult times.

Recently Playa Vista swimmers Lana and Chloe Sun met swimming superstar Vlad Morozov. Vlad is an Olympic medalist and current 50 short course meter World Champion. He competes this weekend for Tokyo Frog Kings in the International Swim League. Check it out on CBS.

Our Playa Vista Junior Lifeguard Program prepares the children for the Junior Lifeguard test.

In order to attend the LA County Summer JLG camp, swimmers must complete a 100-yard pool swim test under the following times:
9-11 year olds - 1 min 50 sec.
12-13 year olds - 1 min 40 sec.
14-17 year olds - 1 min 30 sec.

February through May we primarily focus on endurance/speed training to get the children under their age group qualifying time with additional coaching on technique, proper breathing and flip turns.
